About Sun Life Building
The Sun Life Building is a magnificent architectural masterpiece that has stood tall in Montreal for over a century. Built from 1913 to 1933, this 26-story granite skyscraper was once the headquarters of the Sun Life insurance company. Renovated in 2013, the building now serves as a contemporary conference center, offering professional workspaces. The interior is renowned for its gorgeous marble features, and the on-site Italian café, Peroni, is a fantastic addition. The building's history is also noteworthy, as it once housed the Bank of England's gold reserves during World War II. Customers praise the excellent and professional staff, as well as the outstanding service provided, even for those who are not employees.

As a shareholder in Sun Life Financial I was somewhat miffed when the fellow at the lobby security desk PRETENDED he didn't speak English when I asked for simple directions during my short visit in January '26. Magnificent building, regardless of that odd encounter!

December 18th.
Three degrees above zero.
The city exhales instead of freezing.
Lights ripple on wet streets, winter hesitates,
and Montreal feels caught between seasons,
warm enough to breathe, cold enough to remember. #SunLifeBuilding #Montreal
