my favorite local grocery and they have the best food too. Buying groceries from them all the time, and the shop owner takes responsibility to keep this place nice safe and clean! Big respect!

I shop there infrequently due to the pretty high prices . However after today's experience I doubt I'll ever go back. Twice now they've charged me for a group lotto ticket when I asked for just a regular ticket with extra- I've never had that happen anywhere else and I didn't notice until after I left . They should ask if you want a group ticket- I find this to be sneaky and dishonest. Also often the prices charged are not what's ticketed and there's a lack of transparency on tax. Usually when I shop for food elsewhere that's already been included in the price- not so here. Added to the above it's also a hassle to have to pay by cash or debit when the total is under $10. There are just too many reasons not to shop there for me even though it's the closest store to my home.

I used to have a good relation with the place. Friendly employees, good samosas, had a good deal on fresh bread(not anymore), close to my place... I was a frequent regular.But today i turned the corner and saw (who i think is) the owner assaulting a well known locally, very sweet and polite, homeless old man who was sitting by his business ...not obstructing, not bugging anyone, not making any messes, not causing problem, always nice to people.... And i saw the owner kick his backpack away, kick his goblet of pocket change, pulling him away and shouting at him to go away. One of those time i wish i had my phone on me to record that owner's action and call the police.Very appalling display, which will guarantee me never having business with them ever again. There's lot of grocery stores in the area with better deals and selections anyway, and now there's a new convenience store that recently opened really close to there on Prince-Arthur.
