This by far has been the best of their stores I’ve visited. Super bright, exceptionally organized ( I wish I had pictures) everything was clean and shiny ( it’s looks like they’ve taken the time to wash and polish everything made of glass and silver/ brass)What I did notice about the clothes, they were not organized by colour anymore and EVERYTHING had a place either hung up or placed on a shelf. (nothing in baskets to did through) Much more like a standard store. The staff was super friendly and very helpful especially that it was a SELF SERVICE CASHIER. Overall a very pleasant experience the only other store as clean and organized is the one on Des Source in the West Island, I wonder if the same management ????A great place to go !! Enjoy ??

They sell broken stuff that you can't exchange. Unfortunately village des valeurs became a huge scam.

Good morningI went to donate items to this place and I was given a 20% discount coupon which expired on December 31 even though it is already mid-December... I am seriously considering donating my items elsewhere there next time

The manager improperly fixes the price when the customer wants to buy an item on display which does not have a displayed price.

Now that this place is open I had a chance to look around. This place is cleaner and more organized but still pretty expensive for a second hand store. Items will be taxed at cash-out. Bathrooms are open.Bathroom can be overcrowded and sometimes even intimidating when, what sometimes appears to be employees who have to go, take over. People have to stand in line sometimes just to use soap dispenser in bathroom.Change rooms are still closed and sometimes people try clothes on in plain view. After fire:I was told this location would probably be closed until the middle of May, 2023.After Covid-19Bathrooms and fitting rooms were closed. There was a short line when I left. Before Covid-19This store moved a few doors down in same row of stores at the same plaza, and the building is much nicer but the actual experience seems to be worse and store culture can make you feel dragged down and ghettoized. This store is clearly for profit and prices for 'more than gently used goods' could be out of reach for low income earners. They seem to have a two tier pricing system; usual price and sale price. This chain of stores is obviously a 'for profit store' so they are obligated to charge the almost 15% combined sales tax whereas charity status second hand stores don't. Prepare for sticker shock when 30% is taken off cause of a sale and near 15% is added back on, at cash register. You have to be careful to avoid disappointment. Some stuff is torn; glue no longer sticking in toes of a popular named brand sandal; a lot of low income shoppers needing a deal. Waited for someone to offer to help to see ice grippers; waited so long I took a step in to see if there was a pair in my size and she bit my head off; a guy did the same thing and she left him alone and didn’t go out of her way to embarrass him. The staff can be very rude to you as if they look down on you for shopping at a secondhand store. Lots of things at this store are worn, overpriced and staff are not friendly, at times even make you feel bullied and sound semi-authoritarian. Staff do not ask if you need assistance but tell you off and they seem to not value your time. Place can be a real mess and after spending an hour looking around and leaving without finding anything, you feel depressed cause you wasted your time and money on bus tickets. Some days are better there than other days so visiting a couple of times a year might lead to random good deals, or just disappointment like other poster said. Remember that what you wear can define you from others' point of view, so if you feel you are being mocked, experiencing unnecessary antagonistic drama and are being disrespected by staff for shopping there or possibly even for wearing shabby, dated and stained looking clothes bought from there, maybe you are. Do a google search and you will find articles about lack of disclosure relating to how much earnings from their considerable profits are actually going to charities. They sometimes card senior citizens on their Tuesday 60+ discount day and sometimes you can hear people shouting while someone's bag is being searched in the back. Feels sort of dystopian at times and at other times the shopping experience can feel okay especially if you find something that you like and is affordable, which is the whole point of shopping there
