The members are friendly and respectful. Sharing machines and weights is never an issue. However, the equipment is run down and broken. In the summer, the AC doesn’t work, making training very difficult. Most of the lockers are broken, and some doors are missing. They will push you not to bring any bags/equipment on the floor, but good luck finding a functional locker.Management is incompetent at the highest degree. None of them are gym-goers, so they do not understand gym etiquette/culture. When an issue is brought up by a member, it is simply ignored. Unable and unwilling to discuss changes that could benefit the gym and its members. This could be explained by the lack of willingness to invest in the gym by the owners. However, it does not excuse being disrespectful towards the members, some of which are teens simply trying to have a good time lifting weights. If you have any payment/membership issues, good luck speaking to someone because customer service is only done by email. If you are thinking of signing up, I would advise against it. While the location is convenient, it is not worth the headaches of dealing with management. When did lifting weights become so complicated?

I used to love this place! The members are really friendly and helpful. I felt at home. It's a shame how management has failed us and the gym is now crumbling appart. To state a few: the air conditioning is broken, the ceiling is leaking all over the place, the barbells are bent, the plates and dumbells are chipped and have never been washed, about a third of the lockers are broken and management is nurturing a toxic culture by antagonizing it's members about petty policies. The gym only has the capacity to accomodate a fraction of their members and their business model relies heavily on having a high percentage of their members not actually training or using the facility. They want you to sign up but they never intended for you to actually use the gym.I gave this place all the chance i could. I must now leave this sinking ship.

One of the worst gyms in Montreal. Always busy, equipment is constantly broken, there is only one bench press and very limited weights and equipment. It smells terrible and the men’s locker room is missing half of the lockers. Griffintown deserves better !

EDIT: Quite funny that they come on here responding to reviews suggesting to email them when the fact that they did not answer my email led me to write this review in the first place.Member since early 2022. This gym literally gets worse by the day and @WorldGym should be ashamed. The gym needs a FULL renovation. The machines are either broken, falling apart or hanging on by a thread. Benches seats and cushions are cracked, torn and smell awful. The free weight section is a tiny bottleneck area with not nearly enough free weights for the amount of people they let into the gym. There are two big workout rooms for classes that are a waste of space. This gym is simply too busy to not have that space used and they only have a couple classes a day. The free weight section should be moved to one of these rooms. The locker rooms are gross. They are dirty, smelly and 8 out of ten locker doors are broken. Of course, the gym could have fixed those up during the summer months when they aren't needed but they have not. The locker rooms need to be fully renovated. All this before even mentioning the insane temperature issues this gym has during busy hours making workouts almost unbearable during the summer.I can honestly go on and on but in short WorldGym Griffintown is a disgrace and a complete scam.Do not be fooled by the fake 5 star reviews or WorldGyms responses to any of the issues as they have zero intention on making even the most basic improvements.

I moved from Vancouver to Brossard for my job. I feel sorry for the Quebecers for not having good gym facilities. It is as bad as the medical care in Quebec. So sorry to see how the province deteriorated in the past 30 years. It used to be perfect living in Quebec Quebecers deserve better !!!

I think this place has a lot of potential, but there are clear instances where it falls a bit short. More specifically, there are a lot of machines that have been out of service for quite some time. In addition to this, the cleaning stations are quite far which results in almost everyone I've seen hardly ever wiping down the machines after themselves . There is cleaning staff who regularly vacuums and mops, but I think there should be more of an emphasis on hygiene and maintenance of the machines. In addition to this, staff are rarely found at their stationed front desk area and requires extensive wait time until someone shows up to help which makes customer service or any inquiries a painstaking experience. Overall, the gym is sufficient and allows you to work out reasonably, but would love to have more visibility into the status of repairs or any sort of ongoing cleaning and maintenance schedules that take place around the gym for peace of mind.

Had a free trial and was turned off the second I walked in. The office manager was super unprofessional, and they don’t upkeep the gym at a high standard. It’s also way too crowded at given hours. Pay a little more to get a community aspect and a proper place to work out

One of the worst gyms. The manager is arrogant and rude. He is disrespectful to clients and his own staff. He threatened me saying that I will go train at econofitness, spoke to me in a condescending manner, and told me powerlifters are not welcome in the gym. He would stare me down when I would leave the gym trying to intimidate me. He even admitted to being on a power trip. I don’t care to come back to your horrible establishment. But I do care that your manager is respectful to everyone. I am switching gyms and I will convince the rest of my friends to do so as well. Not only that, the gym is not well maintained. Most of the machines and equipment are broken, the toilets and sinks are broken, there’s no air conditioning in the summer and the gym is dirty. You also aren’t allowed to use chalk. The only reason people attend this gym is due to the cheap membership and the lack of gyms in the area. I guess you get what you pay for

FRAUDULOUS HEAD OFFICE. Avoid signing contracts with trainers at any price. Once they get your money for the semi-private sessions, they dont take in consideration surgeons/doctors recommended breaks from lifting, they decide that 3 months is the maximum accepted break regardless your condition. Before you sign they will promise that the sessions never expire, but then will not let you extend the expiry even for a fee except once. They are forcing me to sign a new contract with double the sessions I have remaining, in order not to lose the unused sessions. They keep changing their rules unilaterally. SCAM.

The gym is extremely dirty. From the equipment, to the locker room, the bathrooms. There is no cleaning services provided. Hiring a company and investing in sanitation services is a MUST. This should not be tolerated

Pretty clean gym. The staff is nice and helpful and the hours are decent. The only issue is the lack of available machines and space. For example there’s only one bench press space. But all in all I’m enjoying my experience

This gym could be great, but half the treadmills are always out of order, there's a very clear shortage of weights for machines (they need about 3 times the amount they currently have), weights are mismatched, the ceiling is almost always leaking, and machines are out of order for weeks and sometimes months. The gym needs serious maintenance and it's pretty clear they don't want to invest in their space. I work out there out of necessity, not because it's a great gym.

**Update, I cancelled my membership almost a month ago. I was supposed to get a refund because I had payed a month in advance plus some other fees. Obviously i still haven’t received a refund and it’s been well over 10 business days. I had read in a previous review that they didn’t actually refund people their money, they would just keep saying they did it and it never happened. So not only is the gym trash, but they are also scam artists ?Extremely poorly maintained. Probably the worst maintained gym I’ve ever been in. Half the machines are out of service, there’s one weight rack for about 15 machines. Just seems very unorganized and free for all type of gym. The staff, they are there… physically. It seems as though they might have all gotten a lobotomy. They might as well just not be there because they don’t really do much.
