Love the shoes and their brand but they provide no support whatsoever. When calling it says no agent is available and when emailing it takes days and weeks for them to get back to their customers. Please have better support options in the future to help your customers.

La Canadienne typically has amazing sturdy shoes BUT this is really unacceptable change. I bought a 650$ pair of "Abba" boots for northeast winters in December of 2022, and by April of 2023, 4 months later, both boots had holes in them on the heels. The heel is made of a thin layer of rubber and the hole leads to air, not material. Unbelieveably badly designed and buyer beware. Boots sent back to store and will not replace directly. Let's hope La Canadienne does the right thing and also redesigns their cheaply made 600$+ shoes.

They were $600 retail boots. They fit just fine, but they squeak; and after a full year of daily wear, they still cause serious heel blisters. They are shredding my feet and will not ever be "broken in." I am throwing them away.

I've owned one pair of La Canadienne tall winter boots for about 10 years. They are about to be replaced. The good: Office appropriate, warm, waterproof, Canadian made, still looks OK for a 10 year old boot, sole is in good shape (no need to resole), grip is good on ice and snow with minor slippage on highly polished wet surfaces (I worked at a trendy office with shiny granite like flooring), leather looks in good condition. The bad: waterproof only lasted 5ish years on mine (better than other brands I've purchased), the crease on the side of the toe box has cracked and now lets in water (I do maintain the boot with conditioner, waterproof spray, remove salt ASAP, away from heat etc - probably wear and tear), an expensive product, current boots made looks like the same product from 10 years ago. To replace this boot, I will unlikely buy this brand. I purchased this boot for about $450 a decade ago. I liked that it was made in Canada. However, for the price and the quality, you can get something similar for less and lasts just as long. Maybe its made in Portugal, Finland, Vietnam or China, but when I can get a similar interchangeable waterproof leather tall boot for $200-$250 versus $500-$600 today, I'm hard press to spend the extra. The technology in some of the other brands are also better than La Canadienne. I own another boot (different brand) that has been waterproof into its 4th year - love it. Only cost me $150 (regular price over $300) and I don't have any slippage wearing these at the office. The made in Canada story side is great, ethical production is great and it makes a pretty good marketing story. However, reading the reviews on poor customer service puts me off. Price somewhat puts me off. It is a hard sell for me to buy another.
