Hours: Auberge la Chocolatière is a charming bed and breakfast and hotel in a lovely, cozy town. The rooms, some named after chocolates, are super clean and well-renovated within the older building, offering ample lighting, closet space, and scenic views of Lake Massawippi. The ambiance is welcoming, though some rooms can be quite small. The staff are consistently described as wonderful, friendly, kind, prompt, and accommodating, including for dietary needs like gluten intolerance. The excellent food is a major highlight, with amazing breakfasts included in a stay. Guests can select from egg dishes, omelettes, and crepes, with excellent coffee and espresso. The on-site chocolate shop offers a wide variety of chocolates. Its location is very good and within walking distance to the lake, a park, a couple of pubs, shops, and restaurants. It is also not too far from other Eastern Township sites. The price for a stay is generally considered reasonable. Some minor criticisms include a weird vibe for some, everything feeling extra, occasional noise in the breakfast room, and limited parking on the popular street. A mandatory gratuity is also applied at checkout. Overall, it is considered a truly wonderful place, absolutely worth a visit, and provides an amazing vacation.
