“We had been searching for a new vehicle for just over a year and had terrible experiences with just about every single location. We thought going to a dealership would have been a smooth sailing experience and we were met with the complete opposite. That's until we went to Mazda Des Sources on the night before Christmas Eve. We had put a deposit on another vehicle at another location and figured we should check out a used vehicle they had listed. We showed up late at night, in the middle of the snowstorm and met Vlad. He was extremely helpful and accommodating showing us the car while standing outside in the freezing cold while we had young children with us. We exchanged numbers and I asked if we could discuss our next steps over text, to which he agreed. After the holidays, we had visited other dealerships and asked if we could pop in quickly to take another look at the car. By the time we got there, the vehicle was in the front and heated for us to look at. Because we had the kids again, we asked if we could come back in a few days and he obliged. The final time we visited the car we decided it was the one for us. During our final visit, we signed the offer letter and did not have to spend hours in a dealership to agree on a final price. I have never met a more respectful salesman and someone who went above and beyond to do all negotiations over text. We had asked for an inspection at the officially dealership and they coordinated the drop off and pick up for us. Again, I cannot express how appreciative we are of his help. With young children, it's not always easy spending time sitting and chatting so having everything done by the time we were ready to buy meant everything. “I would like to take a moment to send a heartfelt thank you to Tommy L, body shop manager at Spinelli Kia in looking after the repair of my car after I was read-ended in April 2025.
I had reached out to Jason Y, whom I worked with in the past and helped me at Toyota Spinelli for accommodations to chemical-sensitivities. Jason would go above and beyond with my service rep and Jason along with someone else at Spinelli (I forgot the name but will edit and add as soon as I do!) put me in touch with Tommy.
Tommy and I had a wonderful first chat, in depth and many more afterwards. I even went back to Jason and left a message saying I could not have fallen in better hands! Tommy is already familiar with chemical sensitivities and truly went in details (and as a biologist, I truly appreciated this) to educate me and walk me through all the steps so that I feel safe leaving my car -that has been my safe space - to get repaired.
Both Tommy, Jason and the other manager are Earth angels! It was a very scary thing for me but I relaxed a lot once I felt heard, seen and safe. I know anyone experiencing chemical-sensitivities understands what I mean and I hope that this gives hope to anyone else out there!

Finally, I would like to say how beautiful the new building is! I was so thrilled to see moss walls in Quebec finally (side note - in Vancouver or here the moss walls are preserved and as a biologist, I am curious as to why - currently exploring). They are very popular in Vancouver. It does not feel like we are in a dealership and the air quality (as someone very sensitive to it - to offgassing as well) was really good (and it does help not to have the tires in the same space as the waiting room). It felt like being in a hotel (minus the poor air quality in many hotels who inject fragrance in their vents making it a barrier to many folks), the coffee was a very nice touch. I felt safe, comfortable and truly enjoyed being there.
All in all, as I told Tommy, I am very grateful that despite this accident and all that came with it, I fell in the best of hands. Thank you for the mindfulness (truly to details I really appreciate and make a difference for me in my wellbeing), knowledge and sharing of information / education, compassion, patience and to all other staff members, mentioned, that I met and those who worked on my car and haven't met - thank you.
