Gavans Hotel is known for its super friendly and wonderful staff who make guests feel very welcome, like one of the family or one of the locals. The venue is recommended for large gatherings at a low rate. The food is great, featuring the best wings, the best poutine in a large radius, and fresh smashed burgers of notable quality. Breakfast items like eggs and the QAC breakfast are also enjoyed. Portions are fairly generous. The ambiance offers old time charm and a good time. The rooms are simple, just rooms with beds and shared bathrooms, with renovations planned. The service receives praise for being some of the best, with sweethearts for staff and appreciated speed. A suggested improvement is a code lock at the front door for after curfew access.

Didn’t stay in the hotel yet, but we had breakfast there and enjoyed the food a lot! They have great eggs, I genuinely enjoyed the QAC breakfast (2 eggs, 3 bacon or sausage, potatoes). Appreciated the speed of service as well!
