The Funiculaire du Vieux-Québec is a short, but memorable ride that offers visitors a unique perspective of the historic city of Quebec. Rising about 195 feet between the Upper and Lower Towns, the funicular provides a smooth and charming journey, allowing passengers to take in the stunning views of the St. Lawrence River and the picturesque rooftops below. While the ride itself is brief, lasting only around 30 seconds, it has the power to leave a lasting impression. Many describe the experience as "quietly magical," akin to the sense of perspective and beauty one might feel at iconic natural wonders like Niagara Falls. The funicular's old-world charm and the way it reveals the city from a new angle make it a beloved part of the Vieux-Québec experience. The funicular can be particularly helpful for those with mobility needs, as it provides an alternative to the many stairs connecting the upper and lower parts of the city. However, some have noted that the staff's welcome could be warmer, especially regarding accessibility policies. Overall, the Funiculaire du Vieux-Québec is a unique and enjoyable attraction, offering both convenience and a touch of enchantment for visitors to the historic city.
It was an experience. Nothing really stands out to me except for hefty price of $6 CAD per person.

Fun to ride up, especially after hours checking out Basse Ville

Fun trip up the hill in Vieux Quebec. Not critical if you can walk up the hill but it was fun to try... Could be critical for anyone on foot with children and/or mobility needs.
