Centre Nature St-Basile de Portneuf is a well-maintained nonprofit place offering several family activities and is entirely operated by volunteers. It features a beautiful natural setting with discoveries for all levels, including well-designed and maintained hiking, snowshoeing, and mountain biking trails. The mountain bike trails have very few roots, which is nice and suitable for young families. In winter, there are several slides with ski lifts. The site includes a new playground, a small river, picnic areas with tables and fire spots, a volleyball court, and a large parking area. A heated refuge is located along the trails. Dogs are accepted on leashes on snowshoeing and hiking trails. The admission price is reasonable and low cost. A community chalet is available for room rental for events.
Really a great place to walk, snowshoe or fat bike. 3km away there is a heated refuge to go to dinner or have a snack. It's perfect ! Well-maintained trails and dogs are accepted (not on fat bikes of course ?).Dog-friendliness: Dogs accepted on snowshoes and hiking trails.
