“Marché Al-Raji is a delightful little store located right in front of the Charlevoix Metro Station. This gem in Pointe Saint-Charles offers an impressive selection of South Asian, African, and Mexican products, including a range of exotic fruits and vegetables, imported fish, and fresh beef and chicken. The owner and the staff are exceptionally kind and helpful, making every shopping experience a pleasure. I highly recommend Marché Al-Raji for anyone looking to find unique ingredients and friendly service in Montreal.”

“I came here because I heard they had a variety of Buldak ramen for cheap. I was really happy with the selection and prices as I’m from Niagara and the prices there are almost $8 for one. They also have a variety of seasonings, cooking sauces and popular middle eastern snacks for extremely fair prices! If I lived here, I would buy all of my ramen here.”

“Intéressant pour un Québécois francophone d'y découvrir les épices, sauces, aromates du Proche et Moyen Orient. Hélas la première fois aucune compétence ou accueil en français. La seconde fois, un bel accueil en français. Pain afghan frais délicieux.”

“Marche is one of my favourite grocery stores in Montreal. It is obviously my go-to place for shopping with a variety of stuff like vegetables, fruits, meats, nuts, etc. at reasonable prices. Staff is friendly with excellent service. The convenience store is 24/7 so whenever you need any item, you can go and buy it. Highly recommended.”

“It is a very nice place to do your groceries. Clean. A lot of good quality products, but a little expensive in my opinion. Things you buy in other places that cost 3.50 or even 4 dllrs. Here that same thing costs 5 dllrs. Just as a comparison. Still a nice place.”

“This chain has brought Asian supermarket to the mainstream North American market. Sure, there are some more authentic places, but most people run away when they walk into a store and smell fish immediately. T&T found a way to bring premium produce, a fresh seafood selection and some asian brands under one roof. Their ready-to-eat section is decent and attracts a good crowd.”

“Always a pleasure been coming here since Tondreau opened in 1986.....Same name same owner since then ...The staff is super friendly,I had accidentally dropped spices, that I placed my watermelon slice on ,thinking they were plastic when I took my watermelon the spice jars starting falling like dominoes, I was so sorry ,but it was no problem, the staff just hurried along and cleaned it up with a smile on their face , whilst I was apologizing.....Besides that , I never have any issues with the store ,the prices are just right ,if not better than large supermarkets,I can not & will never buy any meat anywhere but Tondreaus,my ground pork is done on the spot, I usually get 3 lbs made into 6 ½ lbs.....and you cannot beat the price ,or the quality of the meats...I live alone,I shop a few times a week ,I get my pork chops for an amazing price ....and my steaks.I have some pork chops in my freezer I took a picture to show an example of 2 good sized seasoned pork chops at $1.76 & $2.77...the prices are amazing ,and it is all Triple A, & different seasonings ,maple pepper and Chipotle ,there is Steakhouse and others .....?I seen a documentary and they showed how big super markets make the ground beef ,they put pieces from about 100 DIFFERENT COWS into the grinder and the same goes for the pork, all that came into my head (besides GROSS) was ,THANK GOD I HAVE TONDREAUS.....And thank you all the staff for you patience with me ? and your continuous great service.....?”

“It's like a small supermarket, it's something between convenience store and supermarket. But they have very good products and good prices. Something cheaper than supermarket. They have vegetables and meat and chicken ?. Halal l, because it is a Muslim place. But they have Mexican products such as tortillas, beans, chiles, dried chilies, and a lot of spices. They have products from all over.”

“02/27/2024: Although I am happy to be able to support the best of the best local grocery store, there are times when I wonder if they are happy to see me enter the grocery store. During my short visit to 'yesterday, I had the impression of being looked like a thief. The lady who supervised the self-service checkouts did nothing to dispel the discomfort I felt. Besides, she didn't seem like 'be happy to be assigned to the self-service checkouts.Customer service 101, smile during contact with customers. And for the impression I had that the lady who supervised the self-service checkouts, know that I don't I have no need to steal. Anyway, the friendly owner Mrs. Bernard knows how much I spend monthly for several years at the local MetroPlus. Anyway, I have never stolen in my entire life and I won't start when I get older. that I have. That being said, far be it from me to go shopping elsewhere since I love going to the local MetroPlus. I will not let a single disgruntled employee deprive me of the happiness I have of encouraging the best of the best grocery stores locally. The lady who supervised the self-service checkouts yesterday should understand that the more satisfied customers there are, the more the customer will return to the business in question and the more money the business will make.”

“They have great prices for certain things. Everything is much cheaper than Metro or Provigo for sure when they are not on sale there. The meat selection is not great and you will not find what you need all the time but if you don't have a specific list and are open to just shopping specials it is a great way to save a lot of money on groceries!”

“??I am impressed (and embarrassed that I only recently discovered this place). Mos def recommend.I’m a born and raised Montrealer; I’m familiar with this strip of Westmount but I never set foot in here simply because to the storefront sign is a little “bleh” and terms like “gourmet grocer” / « épicerie fine » translate in my biased mind to “overpriced, overdone”. Then a local business owner and friend of mine said this place is a gem so I tried it out.How wrong my outside impressions were: The staff were particularly kind, chipper, and considerate; the fruits and veggies were, like, REALLY fresh, robust, healthy, luxuriant; the snacks and beverages and condiments were artisanal-but-not-?-artisanal (and mixed with a few mid-tier staple brands); the vibe was quaint, unpretentious, customer-centric. And, drum roll please… the prices were fair! They have a salad lunch bar I have yet to try but I’m looking forward to it. Hats off to the owner and management. Westmount needs a place like this.”

“It's a small maxi so it doesn't always have everything I'm looking for but it has almost everything. I like to go there after 9:00 p.m., there is hardly anyone there. On the other hand, around 2-3 p.m. it’s barely passable in the aisles when it’s full.”
