Car was inspected through their mechanic, I was told everything was running well and asked probably a dozen times about the timing chain. I now need to choose whether to scrap the car or pay close to ten grand on repairs and a new engine. Their mechanic looked at the timing chain and I was told, “It’s like new.” I was sold a broken and scrapped car with hidden engine codes. Timing chain was about a $2,000-$3800 repair. I hadn’t even owned the car for a month. That’s just getting started. I experienced an engine failure a few months ago as well, and I need a new motor, as oil isn’t properly feeding into the engine and I had rod knock without any prior engine lights or warning. I plugged in an OBD-11, it also showed that someone hid one of the warning indications on the vehicle. I’m 22 and I’m going to have to take legal action and pay over $10,000 on repairs for a $13,000 vehicle. I brought the car to Volkswagen and need a new motor as I just experienced a failure. I would recommend not gambling by coming here.
