I spent five years at this school, and at first, I wasn’t sure if it was a good or bad experience. I still remember the day I graduated and walked out for the last time. Back then, I thought I wouldn’t miss this place. But now, three years later, I find myself missing so many of the memories I made and the people I met here. It all feels like a dream now. To my fellow graduates from 2021, I hope you’re exactly where you want to be.

Really nice school. There is a junior campus and a senior campus. Junior campus is for Sec. 1 and 2, senior campus is for Sec. 3, 4 and 5. The distance between the two campus isn’t far, just a 5 minute walk.
I was a new student that just moved to Montreal. The staff were nice, the school is clean. Internal communication is well done. I didn’t even need to go up and say: I am new. To the teachers, they already knew. Teachers are very nice. The staff at the office might be a little impolite to the students sometimes. But it doesn’t affect the experience in the school.
Yes there is a uniform and it’s not cheap.

Laurenthill’s environment is not friendly at all. New students like us wont be able to make new friends and I often endup eating lunch alone and go through everyday feeling lonely.

To be honest, I love this school so education. Ever since I got to this school my grades have never been better and I get honour roll every term. My teachers are nice and the library is nice after school to do homework. But the thing is the girls and boys here are terrible. I wake up everyday scared to go to school. Scared there is going to be another fight or a girl judging me. People make rumours and heavily bully kids. This is not acceptable and staff need to pay more attention to the “nice girls” . Also the girls skirts is crazy, you can almost see their shorts. Teachers do not say anything about inappropriate skirt length and the assemblies do not do anything. School is a place to learn and get education but at this school it’s a jungle of drama. Do you want to set up your kids for failure? This is the right school for you!

My high school experience wasn’t that fun, each year of school I had at least one teacher who was very rude and accuse me of being in trouble, that’s why I get detentions at least once or twice per year. Also I never liked the students there, everyday after school when I ride the bus, students are always ‘wilding out’ meaning causing disruption. And every morning I would ride overcrowded buses at the 121. Worst five years of my life!

Secondary 1 and 2 were easy but Secondary 3 was hard because some subjects like History, English, French, and others I didn't pass. The principal told my parents that I was expelled because of the course I failed. I wasn't unable to follow the school curriculum. Anyway, I didn't like the principal and some teachers. I felt upset that I couldn't continue with Lauren Hill Academy. At least I made my friends there and they were awesome. If another student has the same situation as me, I would recommend sending them to Education Plus High School. The staff supports them to graduate secondary school.
