The Esposito Market is a longstanding Asian grocery store in Ville St-Laurent, specializing in Middle Eastern and Mediterranean items. Recently, they have added a St Viateur bagel shop at the back, providing fresh baked goods without the need to travel downtown. While the prices may be higher than other grocery stores, the quality of the meats, fruits, and vegetables is highly praised. The store could use some renovations, especially to the floors, but the bakery and seafood section are considered the "diamond in the rough." The staff is knowledgeable and friendly, making it a great all-around place for food shopping with ample parking available.
Everytime I come here I always wonder how much longer they can last with all the condos going up around it. The building looks like it's going to crumble. But I love it. Good produce, specialized foods certain holidays. I just wonder about the cleanliness but it doesn't stop me.
