Hours: Couche-Tard is an excellent and very large establishment, considered a must-stop for travel between Montreal and Quebec. It is a gas station with normally competitive prices and is perfect for a long road trip. The place sells a lot of items, including books, drinks, chips, chocolate, and chewing gum. It is an exception to the typical chain as it also functions as a gift shop, offering puzzles, stuffed animals, books, and many other little gift ideas. There is also a Saint Hubert chicken restaurant adjacent to it for those who are peckish. Service is often with a smile. However, over the last year, the place has gone downhill, particularly in maintenance. The washrooms are always dirty and would need a little more upkeep, as seen by the state of the sinks. A light in one shower has been burnt out for over a year, and out of seven men's washroom stalls, four have been out of service for the last three months. It is very busy with a lot of people passing through, which may be due to a lack of employees. While it used to be a great place to stop and is still a beautiful place to take a break, it is going downhill fast. Despite this, some find it a place of profound personal serenity.
