Hours: Le Baluchon Éco-villégiature is an incredible and magical place to spend a holiday, located in the middle of the peaceful woods. It is an enchanting place to relax peacefully, with no car traffic or pollution, only the sounds of waterfalls, birdsong, and the forest. Guests describe it as the cherry on top of an excellent vacation, with no reason to leave the resort. The beautiful and well-equipped rooms are good and clean. The resort offers a wide variety of nearby activities, including walks, biking, horseback riding, archery, kayak, and cross-country skiing, with very good trails. The thermal spa is a must, featuring outdoor hot tubs, a cold water tub, a water fall, and a sauna with beautiful views. The staff is generally very kind, courteous, dedicated, and helpful. The restaurant is excellent, offering very fine dining at a reasonable price, and the food is described as very, very good and delicious. However, some guests found the evening meal portions very small and noted the menu repeated. A café serves meals in a more informal setting. A point of confusion for some was that the tip was included in the restaurant bill. It is highly recommended to book activities and the spa in advance, as supplies are limited. While most staff are helpful, some receptionists could not answer questions about the region. Overall, it is a simply magical place to enjoy the outdoors, crisp air, and great food with family.
