This is my first time ever writing a Google review, but I feel it’s important to share my experience so future buyers know what to look out for.
I purchased a 2019 Acura RDX on September 30 from Selection Auto Direct. Four days later (Oct 3), my wife tried using the second smart key FOB and discovered that none of the buttons worked (lock, unlock, trunk, remote starter).
I immediately contacted the dealership, as the vehicle was sold with two smart keys, and I was never advised that one of them was defective. The salesperson told me they weren’t sure why it didn’t work and that they “received it like that from the previous owner.” When I asked what they would do about it, I was shocked by the response:
“Well, you do have two keys — one is just half defective.”
I brought the key to Acura Gabriel, where it was diagnosed and confirmed that the key must be fully replaced, at a cost of approximately $650. I shared the estimate with Selection Auto Direct and asked if they would either cover the replacement or repair the key. They did not respond.
I then filed a formal notice with the Office de la protection du consommateur (OPC). Only after receiving that notice did Selection Auto Direct respond, offering $200, which we refused, as it does not come close to covering the full amount. Since no agreement was reached, we informed them that we would proceed with Small Claims Court.
A smart key should function fully unless clearly disclosed before purchase — which was not the case here.
Since this is an ongoing case, I’ll keep everyone updated once the court reaches a final decision.”
Additional issues:
After purchasing the vehicle, I brought it to my mechanic and discovered that all four brakes and rotors were in terrible condition, completely contradicting the dealership’s checklist. While replacing the rear brakes, my mechanic also found that the rear right caliper was completely seized and had to be replaced as well.
Advice to future buyers:
Test everything before purchasing — every button, every feature, every key. Take your time, don’t feel rushed or pressured, and don’t assume issues will be handled fairly afterward.

I haven't purchased but I have to say that the customer service is parallel to awesome. I even received a call after my visit to find out what they could do better. I needed to physically see this SUV hoping to love the colors etc. Loved the test drive, the feel etc. Just couldn't fall for the color exterior or interior. If it would have been red & black, would have bought that SUV on the spot, no hesitation.

Bought an XC90 from these guys and was very impressed with the service. Had a good test drive, plenty of time to check the car out and zero sales pressure. They didn't add any extras to the price and gave a good discount for a minor defect.
