As I'm sick from the Macdonalds on industrial boulevard, I'm going to take the time to write this review from the toilet.
I go to Canac 2 or 3 times a week, I used to buy all my materials there. But that will change. A few weeks ago, I bought some paint. Yes, I got to the point of painting after spending $10k with these ungrateful people, on wood, insulation, plumbing, electricity… By buying these 2 large cans of paint for almost $200, I explained my project to the person at painting counter. I tell him that I plan to do 3 walls in white and one wall in light brown, but that I don't want to color the entire pot. Regardless of the result, I am not looking for a shade, but a color. Correctly understanding my need, this person offered me 2 ounces of brown to color the paint as I wanted at home. I am very satisfied with my purchases at Canac.
Today, I decide to repeat my purchase, I'm going to shop for something to sand, and I would like to have a little more coloring to darken this wall a little which will turn into a magnificent homemade chocolate cream. So today, they refuse to sell me only dye, I should buy paint with it and let the machine decide the dose of dye to put because, you understand, if you go home and the color does not suit you, the store would be responsible.
But what world do we live in when we go to Canac? Why force me to buy paint that I already have, and buy from you on top of that! Why tell me that “I have no choice, it’s the machine that decides”? While this is not true, the other person understood my request and provided me with brown coloring, and I was very happy with my purchase.
Now I shopped elsewhere and then called Home Depot. The girl on the phone understands my request, she explains to me that she could put a lot of coloring in a small pot of white paint for $5 to color my large pot of white paint purchased from the competition and informs me that the store is not responsible for the color or quality of the paint. (Thank you ma'am for demonstrating competence and professionalism!)
So, here I am, going to Home Depot to find what Canac could have served me. The truth is that if Home Depot is the only one who understands my needs, well, I'll go shopping there. Good service is worth money, and that's far from a small thing for me. It's when you need something specific that you see if a store is up to the task. When we spend such amounts of money in a store, so that the day I need $5 worth of coloring, I'm clearly told: "I don't care about your project, I don't sell coloring without paint..." .
It's very disappointing to see how we have forgotten to be human and help each other since we spend such amounts of money in stores.
To conclude, the cashiers are quite nice and the prices are stealing, but it's general, so I can't blame that. But if you have a special request, don't go there: the "department manager" was really bad today, it was borderline "I'm touching the kids while you ask me something that I don't I won’t sell you.” The painting consultant called for help every 5 minutes because whenever someone asked something, she couldn't understand anything. The little 20-year-old behind seemed more resourceful...

On Saturday November 23 I went to buy a sink, I was really surprised by the quality of service from the employees. It's obvious they don't know the meaning of the phrase "Customer Service"
No employee didn't want to help me, none!!!!!
I ended up going to CANAC in Fleurimont where the service attitude of its employees was magnificent.

I have been buying all my products from Canac for several years, whether for gardening, tools or materials, and I have always found very good prices. Today for the first time, I returned an item that I purchased from them worth more than $150 (battery rotary saw) without invoice and without the original box and they refunded me instantly by just asking a question. Canac not only has good prices and good customer service, but it also has excellent service for returns and refunds and that is very important.

Good morning! I would like to inform you that the manager PHILIPPE PROVENCHER of Canac Rock Forest is an inhumane man with a lot of abuse of power! The young people who work for him hate him and make their work unpleasant!
I do not recommend to any student

The guys in the warehouse are very dangerous with their lift! Almost hurt me, getting my orders took me 1 hour to wait in front of door 4, the supervisors do what I think your employers are buzzing for job. Very strong po for an average order.

I went to your store on July 6. We chose floating flooring. Waiting to see a clerk who validated on his computer whether the product was in stock. There were 6 boxes left. We selected 5. Waiting at the cash register to pay. Waiting to pick up our order. Finally the product is not in stock. We get reimbursed. We go back inside to validate if we can order the product or to choose another model. Waiting at the cash register to see a clerk. Place the order and pay again for the same product. July 9, we receive an email to inform us that our order has arrived. Waiting 10-15 minutes before an employee came to us to scan our order form. We went to door 3 and waited 30 minutes before receiving our order, because there were only 5 men on the floor, only 2 of whom had their card to heat a lift. We saw a man filling a space with wood, when no one was waiting to get any. Let's just say I wasn't impressed with your service...
