Semis Urbains / Urban Seedling is a family-owned business that helps Montrealers cultivate food in the city. Partnering Shawn and Trevor Manning, the company plants vegetable gardens and creates edible landscapes in yards, schools, and workplaces. They also operate a dedicated organic vegetable gardening and edible landscaping greenhouse in Verdun. Semis Urbains offers gardening workshops and receives excellent feedback for their expert advice, professional service, and quality products. While some customers experienced issues with late-season seedlings, they attribute it to their own inexperience. The business is currently closed for the season but will reopen around April.
