This is hands down the best salon in Barrington and the entire East Bay! From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere is warm, welcoming, and relaxing—it feels like a little retreat. Thea is an absolute gem. She gives me the best haircut I’ve ever had—every time—and really takes the time to listen to what I want while also offering thoughtful suggestions.
What I love most is that it’s not just about the haircut (though it’s always perfect); it’s about the whole experience. The salon has such a calming, friendly energy that you actually look forward to your appointment. I leave feeling refreshed, confident, and well taken care of.
If you’re looking for top-notch talent, genuine kindness, and a salon experience that makes you feel your best, this is the place. Thea and her team are truly the best!

The stylist, Jessica, is the reason for the 5 star rating! She listened to what I wanted, and she delivered. I came in for a color (greys) and cut. From the moment she had me sit in her chair through the color application and hair cut, I was confident she knew what she was doing. I was a new client so you understand my apprehensions. I can't say enough how pleased I was with my hair. It was perfect! Thank you Jessica.

I had an appointment for 1:15. I was told Thea was “running late”. Then for 35 minutes I had to watch Thea chat it up with the customer she implied had changed the service she requested to something that would take longer. I left after 35 minutes. Thea could have called me. 20 minutes there and 20 minutes back. 35 minutes in the chair. Don’t apologize. Offer me a $100.00 gift certificate.

I am new to the area and I just had my first appointment with Jennifer. My hair came out exactly how I wanted it to. I explained what I wanted and showed Jennifer some pictures. My hair was dried out and cut longer on one side than the other. Jennifer brought my hair back to life. Salon is clean, clean, clean !!! The products they use are used at high end salons across the country and in Europe. Their prices are reasonable and the stylists are experienced. And knowledgeable about the products. So happy that I found my new go to place!

The worst balayage I ever got she did my whole head not bottom she did thick pieces as she talked constantly to the lady next to her then teases my hair and didn’t put any product in my hair which was frizzy from all the teasing. 100 wasted her name was jenifer

Bloom is a really nice atmosphere and do a great job of taking care of you as the customer. Each of the hair stylists here do a great job, listen to what you want and make good recommendations. Precovid they even provided coffee and sometimes wine if you came in the evening. Now in the covid times they do a very good job of making sure that everything is clean and orderly before the next person comes in. I have to shout out Sheena specifically because she has such a wonderful personality, a great amount of knowledge in what she does and she takes great care with each and every customer to make sure that they are happy and then she gives them the best possible style. I am extremely picky with my hair and I've jumped around between people over the years but I've consistently been with Sheena for at least the last few years and I can't say enough good things. Definitely worth checking out the salon. Also it's right next to the main strip in Barrington so you have coffee, liquor, and great food options all in close proximity for post haircut positivity. so what could be better than that?

This is the best salon! I've gotten my hair done by Sheena for almost 10 years now. She's great and the atmosphere in this salon is perfect! It's clean and elegant. They always offer tea or a cappuccino while you wait. Great products! Couldn't recommend this place enough

The lady that own the place up prize as soon as she was done. Cut more than I told her to. The perm is nice. But she told on phone 90$ then told me I owed her 150$ Bad for business!
