When your new refrigerator breaks down (and it will), best to have bought it from an appliance store that will provide a loaner for the 2-3 weeks until it’s repaired. Ours broke in August and took 3 weeks to get service. I bought it at Gil’s, and asked (desperately) for any kind of loaner. They said they had a small dorm sized fridge I could borrow. 20 minutes later they called back to inform me, no, sorry, we want to put our lunches in it! This was so off-putting because 1) you don’t rescind an offer to a customer desperate for refrigeration in the heat of August, and 2) they don’t have a loaner fridge for their customers, when they know new fridges breakdown quite often. They actually told me new fridges break when I bought it, and convinced me to buy the extended warrantee.
A small local business can only compete with the big box stores if they provide value added services. Providing a loaner fridge to desperate customers should be a no-brainer. Especially since I bought 6 appliances from them in the last two years!
A friend’s new fridge broke after a year, but she got a loaner because she bought from Wickford Appliance. I will be heading there next time I need a new appliance.

I cannot say enough about Gils and Denise and Sarah. They both went above and beyond in my search for a new oven. They knew the appliances inside and out. Where there were hiccups with manufacturing and delayed delivery times they were open with communication and worked hard to ensure that my needs were met. You won't get this kind of service at a big box store!

In terms of professionalism and courtesy, I rate Gils a 10 out of 10 possible. In terms of sales, service, and customer focus it was a genuine pleasure buying a washer and dryer from this team. Bravo Zulu Gil's Team!!!

Gil’s was a great place to purchase appliance- they were very knowledgeable about refrigerators and guided us by our needs not by the most expensive. By the way they are more than competitive
They delivered product on time and set it up

Thoroughly enjoyed my shopping and delivery service at Gil’s. Staff are knowledgeable, personable, professional and respectful of budget and property. I found a great selection to choose from and overall they made replacing a broken down refrigerator pleasurable!

All of my appliances have come from Gils. The customer service from the time you walk in the door to the delivery and set up cannot be beat. They never miss a detail, they make sure you get an appliance that fits your space, they make sure you have all the "add ons" that you will need to install. Their prices are literally the same as the big box stores but you get FREE delivery and FREE removal of your old appliance. I will always recommend Gils and never go anywhere else.

I just moved to Bristol, and wanted to support a local business. The price for my appliance was the same as a big box store, and the customer service and friendliness was excellent. I received the refrigerator quickly and without a hitch.

They were patient we us. We asked a lot of questions and viewed a lot of fridges.The fridge it was replacing was a GE. It lasted 30 years. I don't think today's frides will last that long. We ended up getting a GE. Gils was very good with the delivery. They were on time. They took the old fridge and brought in the new one. However we noticed the new fridge door was going the wrong way. We asked the delivery team If they would change the swing. They said yes but it will cost $50. dollars. I said never mind I will do it. That's why I gave a 4 star rating. Maybe I am wrong but I think that should have been part of the delivery.

First time buying at Gil’s. Ordered late on Friday. Delivery Monday morning. Purchased online with amazing communication and customer service. Free delivery and removal. We feel we got a great deal and experience. Definitely our first choice for future purchases.
