We were looking for a vet who would be good with an Alpha male dominant / scaredy rescue dog in the area, and hit the jackpot with Dr. Dunn. First of all, my mixed terrier felt homey in the house-like setting, and wasn’t as afraid as he usually is in Fl. Take that, plus the very relaxed, calm, kind attitude of the Dr., we were able to get every shot done that my dog was due for. The yearly vet visit is usually my own worse day of the year, but was a piece of cake with Dr. Dunn. He’s truly the dog whisperer, and I highly recommend this vet.

This past weekend our aging family dog declined and we did not want her to suffer. Our regular vet was closed, the “emergency” place told us they couldn’t see her and we were unsure what to do next. It was almost noon on Saturday when we called Atlantic Animal hospital and they scheduled us for that afternoon even though we were not established patients. Recently we lost our kitty. Prince Tuesday was not a patient at the Atlantic Animal Hospital, yet they welcomed our family to make his final arrangements. They expressed sincere condolences and were gentle both on the phone and upon arrival. This week we were absolutely touched to receive a sympathy card with hand written notes from the entire team along with 7 paw / nose prints of our Prince Tuesday. We have 7 children (no way they could have known), what a special final gift to receive.

Dr. Dunn is a straight forward and caring veterinarian. I've taken my various pets from ducks to dogs here for years. He's a fantastic vet. I'll continue to bring my pets here for the best care they can possibly get. I cannot express enough how much I appreciate his skills and character. My dog was attacked in the evening on thanksgiving. Since he wasn't critical I left a message with Dr. Dunn and he promptly got back to me in the early morning on Friday and came in to see my dog and take care of him. He is the best vet I've been too. Hands down.
