They have expensive gas and not much for competition nearby.

They don't sell gas cans. How worthless is a gas station that doesn't sell gas cans?

I came to get my hair styled for a wedding. I showed photos from multiple angles of a style I wanted and what I got was nothing like it, and didn't look good. Other than that it was a pleasant, relaxing experience, but I wouldn't recommend it.

Short and simple. . Just go. . .This tiny salon is the best kept secret. . .Kristi, the owner, knows hair. . .been there 6 times. . .color is excellent. . .cuts are top-notch . . .myself and clients I've silently watched around me always walk out looking shiny, sheik, and ten years younger. . . I'm an impatient client . . .Appreciate that she is efficient. . .No effusive BS. . .Rivals the top salons in NYC. PS Do yourself a favor and buy some of the Argon elixir on your way out the door. It's magic.

Was once Michael's Texaco. Great easy in/easy out place for gas and for filling up tires.

I was completely deceived by the previous reviews so I thought I would write an honest one. I am not sure if I caught the stylist/salon on a bad day, but my experience was terrible. I had an appt with Kristi and my boyfriend had an appt following mine, but after my experience, he canceled and saved his money and hair. Although I appreciate when I first met with Kristi she started showing me ways to curl my hair, I told her during what I thought was a consultation that I wanted to cut 3 to 4 inches and define a side swept bang with long layers. She was working on another client so she has someone else wash my hair and it was the most dainty wash I have ever had. I thought she was afraid of my hair. She cut my hair wet and said she would finish it dry, but when it was dry she cut a smidge and no side swept bang and then began to style it. I was annoyed because I made it very clear in the beginning that I wanted 3-4 inches off and she cut about inch. When I told her I wanted it shorter she was like "really?" and seemed annoyed (she was still working on another client). She continued to cut my hair but was so rushed and put no texture or shape into it and still no side swept bang. I was totally over it by this point and she began to curl my hair but said she didn't have time to finish it and sent me on my way with half styled hair (I am glad I didn't have anywhere to go). I went into the waiting room and there was people waiting for Kristi (including my boyfriend). One lady asked the receptionist if she should reschedule and the woman told her that it was fine she was going to take her and my boyfriend back at the same time and work on both? Who does that? He was over it too and didn't want his hair to be rushed so we left. The next day I had to go to another salon (an Aveda salon) and have my hair redone. The stylist at the new salon asked what happened to my hair? Good question. She couldn't believe I paid $45. Save your money and your hair.

I've never been loyal to a salon or stylist, but after going here I think I'll be back! I'm one of those passive people who doesn't really know what kind of haircut they want, and usually what happens is the stylist just does some trimming and upkeep on whatever weird thing I had going on. Today I walked in, just looking for a trim, and immediately Kristi made helpful suggestions on what to do both with general shape (blending in my growing-out bangs) and how to deal with the two-tone henna color I have growing out. This is how getting your hair cut should be! So many stylists seem afraid to offer their professional opinion- but Kristi did it with grace so I didn't feel bad.

Hard to find (kind of hidden behind a gas station off Rte. 1) but worth the trip. I had a basic men's haircut done within 30 minutes of calling for my first appointment. Granted, it was a Thursday before noon, but still very convenient. Got a great, stylish cut and a shampoo for only $20. Plus, my stylist Lauren was amazingly beautiful and nice. Of course I'll be back.
