Customer service Representatives don't look like they've ever held a tool in their life...
How are they supposed to understand and relate to the problems customers may be having?

Terrible customer service and management.
I purchased a Murray lawn mower last season and it couldn't make it through my 300 ft front yard. I was able to return it and replace it with one in which I finished my lawn and put away for the winter season.
This spring it doesn't want to fire up.
Over 400$ mower.
I called the store and was told they offer one year returns and to bring it down with my card.
Upon arriving to the store with the mower I was told now that the returns are only for 30 days and they would not be able to help me.
I asked to speak to a manager, Scott Brown, in which his help was moot, and eventually drew a crowd of his own minimum wage minions around him while they giggled and snarked at the inconveniences they had created for me by giving me incorrect advice and instructions.
I told Mr Brown with the immature attitude I would not be returning to the store. He said "good", I said "I'll make sure to tell corporate", "well I didn't tell you not to come back" he said, "no but you motivated and encouraged it" I replied.
I recently purchased my house in Coventry which was a "move in ready but job", and have spent over $20,000 in that store in this past year or so.
I am also the guy who made the post that went viral "after a Facebook post gone viral the police are now stepping in to clear out a homeless encampment in front of the Coventry home Depot" (a video I had made while leaving your store one of the many afternoons I was there spending money).
This homeless Chapman was allowed to maintain and grow for almost a year under the supervision of Mr Brown. But when it's Brian who needs help, Mr Brown has only giggles.
"You only get to talk and laugh like you are because you are not the owner of Home Depot, I own a small business and knowing that my business is a direct reflection of me I would never speak to a customer or giggle at them the way you are at me"
I tried to tell them that I was the owner of a motorcycle organization known for making viral videos which is how that Facebook post with the video of the homeless encampment in their parking lot went viral.
They decided to start putting words in my mouth as if I threatened physical harm with a motorcycle club.
There are LEMC's out there, military as well as religious clubs, the 1% are called that because they represent 1% of bikers. All the rest of us are what they call 99% (which means law abiding)
Which my organization in particular is known for supporting a local law enforcement motorcycle club AKA "LEMC".
From there I was given a phone number to call Home Depot corporate, that phone number gave me another phone number to call for Home Depot customers, and that phone number gave me another phone number to call for the manufacturer of the lawn mower.
Except when you call the number for the lawn mower it's an insurance company that represents a whole bunch of different brands of lawn mowers and they no longer cover Murray or Poulan Pro (we have a Murray).
But this is all to be giggled about...
Choose better leaders.
You def just lost a customer

Came here after my BJs run since it’s nearby and appreciated the customer service Nick provided. Most times when I go into Home Depot the employees blow you off and tell you they don’t know where things are. But Nick helped us in the plumbing department. Even when I was being slightly difficult about finding something on a top shelf, he responded patiently and communicated well. Customer service is a dying art, but Nick understood the assignment!

My husband is always complaining about their 2x4's never being straight...now their lawn mowers are awful junk too. Just brought ours out for the spring after being in the insulated garage all winter and it's no longer working after minimal use last year. We returned one previously that died mid use on the first round and they refused to refund our home depot credit card so when the new one was purchased apparently we no longer would be eligible the 1 year return because we had to use a different card...if I could give less than 1 star I would just due to this not to mention the awful customer service. I will be taking my business elsewhere...
