Unfortunately I had a bad experience…they need to change their policy. I just moved into a house and previous owner had auto fill, so they filled while I was living there a month. I called to tell them I was new owner and discussed price. I needed to fill out an application which I was unaware. They shut my propane off 2 days before thanksgiving…with no notice!!(oh I was cooking for 12…NOT)I filled the app out and all was great until I asked them to come out and turn propane back on . I explained I was having thanksgiving. Oh we can’t do that, your tank has to be inspected, we can come out in 3 weeks! I said what if I was elderly or had an infant? They didn’t care. They did however move the inspection up to the following week. No 24/7 service here!

They unexpectedly added a new annual fee for the tank after a 20-year contract, which no competitors charged except them. It was the worst experience, and I had to leave. I suggest you run not walk away

This company is a JOKE and are not a legitimate business. Have never experienced such a horrible and disrespectful company with terrible terrible terrible service!! They refuse to service our propane or schedule “the inspection” (even though they delivered propane before without it?) and after countless calls and speaking to management, they still cannot bother to provide us what is needed. This branch also NEVER answers the phone and they continue to blame us for their incompetence. It’s insanity honestly. We have been dealing with them for over a year with no resolution!! We are trying to open service with them and pay them, but they make it impossible. RUN as far away as you can from this group!!

Very dissatisfied. I was out of propane and it took a week for you to come and refill the tank. Then I had to pay one of your subcontractors $150 to spend 5 minutes and bleed the air from the pipes.

I had there tank on a house that I bought in 2021. Sales was so rude and kept trying to trick us into a contract. I got so discussed with them I switched house to electric. They were going to pick up tank in 2021 and never did. I had 5 attempts at getting them to remove their tank . They never came through. They even tried to get me to sign a 3 year contract in order for them to pick up their tank, with a hefty cancellation charge. Don't trust these people, my experience is they are not truthful. That and their prices were the highest I found in RI.

Suburban Propane has the worst customer service. They are very rude, and don't have good communication with each other. I would never recommend them to anyone.

I have never received as bad of service as I received from suburban propane. I called on Monday to schedule a delivery and was told they would be out by Friday. They never showed up so I called again on Saturday and was told I would hav e to pay 250 for an emergency delivery. I asked why since you never showed up? The woman on the phone just continued to say the same thing over and over. I asked to speak to a supervisor and she placed me on hold. Came back and and stated the same thing again. I said once again I would like to speak to a supervisor and was told I would have to call back. I said no and once again I was placed on hold. Then I was disconnect. Without question this is the worse company I have ever done business with!

They just changed their autopay from a system that actually automatically paid your bill amount to a new system that only lets you prepay a set amount every month/week/year. Very much a set in the wrong direction! It eevwn kicked current customers out of the system and then hit us with late fees for a system change we were not told about. If I had a better option id take it in a minute.

NEVER use these guys! One of their people came out to check our propane tank which is from them. It’s very old and does not have a register on it so we didn’t know how much was in it when we bought our house. The man topped it off and after that the tank leaked and we lost all of the propane. They blamed it on us and said it must be a leak somewhere in the line but it’s fairly ironic that it started leaking after they came to top it off. That was our experience, and I would never ever use them again. Had them remove their tank immediately.

I was pleased at the attention and quick response to a billing situation I was having. One of the most pleasant experiences with Suburban in a long time. I just wish I could remember the name of the woman I spoke to.

I believed I had gotten a delivery in early December but never got a bill. We have been customers for 44 years and always got automatic deliveries twice a year. I called to follow up about the lack of a bill. Was told I'd get a call back. Never did. Last week ran out of propane. Called the national customer service line. Spoke with someone.Was informed my account had a stop on it related to defective equipment. Had never been notified of either issue. Was told I would get a call early next am. By 930 I hadn't heard from anyone. I called. Again could not reach local and ended up speaking to national. I was told about the stop and the defective equipment. Informed staff person we had never been informed of either. I was told when the person came in December he did not make a delivery. Not sure what kind of customer service this is: 1. no delivery, 2. defective equipment, 3. place a stop on delivery and 4. fail to inform customer of all of the above. At approximately 430 pm, a driver arrived. He spoke to me, explained what happened, he looked at the equipment and filled the tank. He provided me with the bill. He said we are on a list to have the tank and regulator replaced. He verified the stove properly ignited.

It's actually incredible that this place is still operating, as it seems our frustrating experience is commonplace. We have been waiting for weeks for them to come fill our propane tank. Emailed multiple times and called with no response. Luckily, we just need it to run our gas stove, but as many others have mentioned, they have run out of hot water waiting for deliveries. I don't like giving bad reviews, but I do like being able to prepare food for my family. We are completely out at this point, and I haven't been able to cook anything for a week using my stove. Super annoyed and frustrated.

I scheduled a delivery for Friday and they didn’t show up. I call on Saturday and they said they can come today but it will cost me $195 fee. Outrageous! I’m canceling with them. Don’t make the same mistake I did. Use someone else.
