We stop into this local home improvement store from time to time. I do like their indoor paint that contains a primer so you need fewer coats to cover the old color. Finding an associate to help on the floor is often difficult and finding a person at a register, instead of self-check out, is pretty near impossible. When we've had to return an item, it has gone smoothly.Recently we went in to look at carpet for our staircase. A member of staff assisted us in looking over carpet samples and discussing the different levels of quality and widths available. We ordered a couple of stair tread covers to compare how the colors work with our décor. They do not have take home samples; we had to purchase stair treads for each color we are interested in comparing. We scheduled a staircase measurement appointment for thirty five dollars: required to provide a quote and schedule the install. The stair treads came to just under thirty three dollars. The gentleman who came to measure the steps was pleasant and experienced. He called about a half hour before arriving. Home Depot sent me a text and email after a couple of days with a quote. Which I thought was odd, because I hadn't picked out the carpet. It seems one of the samples I ordered was added to the order as the carpet selection for the measurement without my knowledge. The width was not the one we wanted. I called the number and they could not assist me as they do not have the SKU for that width in their computer. What? Why do you sell a product that you do not have an SKU for? How does that work?I was advised during the phone call to go back to the store to update the order and assured they would have the correct SKU in their computer system. Why are the computer systems different? This is not making sense to me. The store told me to call the number on the quote. I've kind of lost interest at this point. Sigh.I'll still stop in for paint and other items, but I think I'm over their carpet installation.

Do not use this Home Depot for pro work. Ordered 2 storm door installs on 5/7/23. On 5/8/23 received a call from Creative Carpentry to come out and measure on 5/12/23. I don't remember the exact date but I called Home Depot after about 7 days and was told it could take 7-10 days for carpenter to send in measurements but to rest assured as soon as they got them they would call me for next steps. On 5/26/23 I called Home Depot again as we were now 14 days away from measurement day. They still did not have the measurements; I threatened to give the job to Lowe's. They assured me they would investigate and get back to me. No call. I called again about 4:30 pm and spoke to a gentleman who said they had received the measurements just that day but that he was new to the dept and would have the guy who was the "pro" at ordering g the 2 storm doors I needed, call me the next day (5/27/23) Well...here we are on 5/28/23. I just called Home Depot and cancelled the order and demanded a refund of the $40 dollars they charged for measurements. Apparently they don't want the job of 2 storm door purchases and install as I certainly would not trust the quality of the work

I just spoke with a woman named Sunshine at store #4279 in Coventry, RI. She was extremely knowledgeable and helpful, and was able to come up with a creative solution to my order issue. I hope this message can get to her manager, and that Home Depot can take advantage of her energy and work ethic. Every company needs more people like her in more influential positions!

Good luck trying to get someone to help you with appliances! After spending fifteen minutes finding someone, I waited an additional thirty minutes for that associate to return after they told me they would... they never came back! I'll buy somewhere else.

I rented the truck for the day. It was a very easy process. I did 90% of it on line at Coventry Home Depot web site. Easy as curbside pickup. I went in, told the gent my name and info. 10 minutes later he walked me around the truck go note the damage, made sure I was aware of the ramp 2 wheeler etc, handed me the keys and off I went to do my thing. Bringing it back, I topped off the tank, went in, gave my initial paperwork, got a receipt and was out in all of 5 minutes. Without a doubt, the smoothest vehicle I have ever rented. I am 65 and over the years I ha rented may vehicles. 3 weeks ago I ha to rent a Hertz due to a breakdown. One of the worst rental times I have ever had. Even with a prelayment/deposit by credit card, I was give. A little POS instead of the premium large car I needed. Spent a full half hour doing paperwork. The car was filthy, windows horrid, bird gifts all over it. Just ridiculous. And overcharged. This rental today at Home Depot for the first time, between on line and the people I dealt with, was awesome. Very reasonable cost as well. Go for it, no disappointments.0

We needed help in the electrical aisle. I found an associate in the main aisle and she said she would send someone. We waited about 10 minutes. I then called the store to have them send someone. Another 5 or 6 minutes go by. At that point we left the store, went to Lowe's and were in and out in 10 minutes. We need 2 new bathrooms outfitted and a new dryer.. Guess we won't be buying them at Home Depot.
