One of the worst banks. The staff is rude and they don’t value good customer service at all. I walk in other banks and get greeted by name when I walk in, they also care to have a conversation with you, ask how your recent vacation was etc! Such a difference! Citizens has a very bad reputation, and people know it. This review won’t do anything because they don’t care, you’re just a number to them. They want you in and out.

Why do you close at 4 everyday? Not convenient for other people who work until 4. At least stay open until 5 on a Friday.

Why are you guys allowing people to steal money from my girlfriend and then do nothing about it?

Citizens bank appears to have zero issue with continuing to inconvenience their customers and using COVID19 as the excuse. Its officially been 14 months since COVID19 arrived, with millions of people vaccinated, and yet Citizens bank branches continue to operate within the hours on 9 to 4(5pm if your lucky). Basically, if you have an issue with your ATM card and work anywhere else in the world during the day, forget about cashing a check at an actual bank and having access to your money. As usual Citizens cares more about making money by cutting branch hours and jobs than returning back to normal operating hours. As the victim of fraud and the resulting deactivation of my card at 4:30pm, I cannot withdraw money ANYWHERE in the state until tomorrow. Thank you Citizens, much appreciated. Remind me again why I continue banking with an institution that would wait longer than every other institution to return to normal because it benefits them?

I have been a customer of this bank for longer than I can even remember. Actually even before they were citizens. And I find that they are ATM machines are so frequently not functioning that it is really annoying. They have new ATM machines now the ask you a million questions but still don't function consistently. The customer service inside is always very prompt and very polite and kind. But I hardly ever go inside and I would just like to have the drive up ATM machine work when I need it.

I had an issue with the drive thru atm on Monday. I spoke with this branch 3 times on Tuesday & was promised a manager call back which never happened. I spoke with Christina 5 minutes prior to closing, she promised me a call back and she followed thru, she not only called me back within 15 minutes but she was also able to resolve my concern. I want to be sure she is recognized for her EXCELLENT customer service. She is definitely a great reflection of your company. Thank you CHRISTINA!!

This review is for the Oaklawn Avenue branch on Oaklawn Avenue, Cranston. Went to drive thru on 9/22/18 at 11:30 a.m. with some ones which I wanted to exchange for a higher denomination. Cash!! Was asked if I had an account as they do not process anything for those without an account. What!?! Since when does cash exchange require an account. Well, Citizens Bank, you will be losing a customer of 25 years due to the stupidity of your rules. May have been just the teller, but even so, shouldn't common sense prevail: be it the bank or the teller?

Horrible service - Stay away!! Rolled over a CD two days after expiration and they still charged me a $50 early termination fee. You have to constantly check your account and watch for these mysterious fees. Interest rates are not competitive unless you're a new customer (3-month CD is .o3% when local and national average is above 1.4% -Crooks!!!!). God forbid if you complain "Well you don't have your entire life savings in our bank!" FU !!! Citizens I will be looking for another bank.

I have been at this bank for over 20-years and now I'm looking to transfer. Recently rolled over a CD a day after expiration and they charged me a $50 dollar early termination fee?? They fixed it after I noticed it and called but what if I didn't catch it? The CD is at 0.3% (National avg is like 1.5%) so I'm making like $1.50 in interest on $5k and you're going to charge me $50 WTF?!?! Bank will also charge $25 for a check book? Shitty bank - you're better off sticking your money in a jar at home.

Let me start by saying I have been a Citizens Bank customer for over 15 years and the 1 star review is for this specific branch only. I have frequented this particular branch many times for transactions I am unable to complete via ATM or online banking as it is near my home. A few days ago, I stopped in to make a withdrawal and while waiting in line I was a little taken aback when one of the tellers was announcing a mans account balance as he was finishing his transaction. It was now my turn and the teller called me over. The transaction began well with the usual, "Hi, how are you?" "What can I help you with today". I swiped my debit card to begin the transaction and said I'd like to withdraw X from my savings account. Granted I do have multiple accounts at this bank but identifying the account by saying my balance out loud (loud enough for over customers to hear) is a bit unprofessional in my opinion. After the account was identified, the teller turns to the the teller next to her and says she needs X (amount of money) to complete my transaction and her drawer doesn't have it. The other teller is assisting another customer and now both are looking at me along with other customers in line. My teller now asks yet another teller for the same amount to complete my transaction but this time it's louder as this person is working the drive up window. Finally she was able to gather the amount I needed after announcing it to the entire bank full of people. What happens next was the most bizarre thing that's happened to me at a bank, the teller stacks the money up still in bands and tells me to count it to make sure it's correct. The teller did not count the money before handing it to me nor did she run it through the money counter. As I am counting my withdrawal she proceeds to hand me her business card to discuss Platinum accounts with me at a later date. Is this woman out of her mind? Why would I want to discuss any more of my financial business with a person who can show no discretion when performing a simple banking transaction?! Ironically on a separate occasion I was making a deposit at this bank in the drive up window, it was a certified bank check from a real estate closing, and was asked to come inside the bank to do so. I thought they may need my signature or something to make the deposit, but no, the assistant manager wanted to speak with me about opening new accounts with the bank! On this particular day it was pouring rain so I got soaked going in to be solicited to when my transaction could have been handled at the drive up window where I was content with being dry and comfortable in my vehicle. Stay clear of this branch unless you want your financial business blasted to the entire bank or to be solicited to!
