The Cranston Animal Shelter is a great place. I am currently applying to adopt an amazing dog from them. They were very friendly and knowledgeable. The pup I met with is very well taken care of and the entire place is very clean and tidy. I recommend anyone looking for a pet to add to their family to contact them.

The whole staff have been absolutely incredible with my wife and I, and I can't recommend them enough. Cole, in particular, has made this adoption on our new doggo such a wonderful experience. And I can truly tell Cole & the whole staff really care for the well being of these animals, and making sure they get into the perfect home. Thanks for all the hard work you do guys! Any chance I get im passing along how great y'all are.. 🤠

I had been looking through Petfinder for a cat and came across one that I thought would be a good fit for me that was currently at the Cranston Animal Shelter. The facility was clean, the intro not at all rushed, and the adoption process was easy and only took a few days for all the necessary checks. I was delayed picking her up by a few days but the staff was wonderfully understanding and flexible. Everything they sent home was very helpful for understanding and building a healthy relationship, and my new kitty and I found this to be a great experience.

The ACOs and staff at this facility truly care. They’re wonderful humans making an actual impact. I sleep so much better at night knowing animals are in their hands. Bravo!

When coming to adopt- they were very informative and helpful. You can tell the people there truly love and give the best to the animals in their care. ACO Shelby helped me with everything and answered all my questions. Its clear she is passionate about her job by how much she knows and cares for each animal. The Cranston Animal Shelter truly goes above and beyond for these animals as well as community members who come in.

Was told I would hear with in 24 hours about adopting a cat did not hear for 1 weeks. Shelter seems bias. I believe her name is Nicole was rude and short with me. Doesn’t treat you like a human being. You would think you would just want your animals to go to a good home no matter what the person looks like

I have adopted from and donated to this shelter more than once. I visited them to look at a dog and was told they were short-handed and could not meet it. While there, we saw a stray that had come in. Wanting to meet that dog, we were told to return Wednesday, when the stray hold ended. I showed up when they opened at 12:00 to be told they transferred the dog, prior to the stray hold even expiring. Very poor! I always adopt and am trying to give a dog a home. This shelter denied us the chance to even meet two dogs week! What’s the mission?

This was my first taking my friend to try and drop off a cat she didn't want unfortunately the ladies that wouldn't take the cat because they want a $20 fee which is ridiculous she can no longer afford to keep the cat, it has caused us unnecessary stress, if she can't afford to keep the cat anymore than she can't afford to drop it off that makes no sense, dropping it off to a shelter is better than leave the cat on the side of the road I'm upset and applaud Shame on you!!!

Was lied to by staff! Told to wait 2 weeks, to learn they gave away pup earlier! Immature staff with improper training
