I went to Jiffy Lube because it’s convenient and a recognizable brand, so I figured it would be a safe choice. I know very little about cars, so I trusted them to take care of a basic oil change for my Kia Sorento.
After the service, I was surprised when the total came out to $140 — which felt really steep for a routine oil change. When I got home and looked at the invoice more closely, I realized they used a Premium Synthetic Oil typically meant for high-end European cars — definitely overkill for a basic SUV like mine. Again, I don’t know much about cars, so I assumed they’d put in whatever was appropriate for the vehicle.
They also charged nearly $60 for labor, which just seemed excessive.
While the location is convenient, I’ve come to realize it’s just too expensive for what should be a straightforward service. I’ll definitely be exploring other options next time.

As a college student living far from home, car trouble is more than just inconvenient—it’s terrifying. My car had started randomly stopping on me and shaking back and forth whenever I would brake. I had no idea what was going on, and being on a tight student budget with no nearby family to call, I felt completely overwhelmed.
I brought my car into the Jiffy Lube in Cranston hoping for some answers and what I got was a team of absolute heroes!
They listened patiently to my concerns, never once talking down to me or brushing me off. They took the time to thoroughly inspect my car and actually figured out what was wrong—low oil (lol IM JUST A GIRL). They explained the issue clearly and offered solutions that were both effective and affordable.
Not only did they fix the problem causing the random stalling and violent shaking, but they also made sure the rest of my vehicle was safe and running smoothly before sending me back on the road.
What touched me the most was how human they were. They saw I was stressed and scared, and they treated me with the kind of compassion and care you don’t often find in a business. It felt like talking to family.
To the team at Jiffy Lube Cranston: THANK YOU!!! You didn’t just fix my car—you gave me peace of mind, safety, and a moment of unexpected kindness when I needed it most.

I came in on 6/9 because I did something really stupid (over filled my oil) and it cause a whole lot of smoke to fume out. I spoke with josh over the phone to ask for advice on what to do because I was panicking. Had my truck towed to jiffy’s and the wonderful service I’ve received before during and after is the best car service I’ve gotten in a long time. I was amazed with the team and how they worked well together to get me up and going again. If ever you have a problem jiffy lube Cranston is where you need to go. Couldn’t have asked for better service. I left an extremely happy customer. Thank you all for the great work and services you have provided.

The staff at this Jiffy Lube are truly phenomenal. I have been in the past for oil changes and they were always quick, professional, and helpful. Recently, my car broke down as I pulled in for an oil change, and Desiree (the manager) and her team were so helpful and kind as we navigated the problem. They spoke to my mechanic as we waited for a tow and went above and beyond to help diagnose the problem and help me feel calm in a stressful situation. I would recommend this Jiffy Lube to anyone and everyone!!

I went this past Saturday for an oil change and there was no wait. The woman in charge was very kind and helpful. She showed me my air filter and how dirty it was. They always tell you what they recommend, but don't make you feel like you have to get it done. I was in and out in about 20 minutes.
