I love this store and have always been warmly welcomed by the amazing staff. Beautiful, high quality products, it's a fun place to go into. A must see store for anyone looking for baby and children clothes or gifts!

I would absolutely recommend this location to anyone. If you haven’t been here yet, you are in for a pleasant surprise! This is the leading example of a baby boutique store! I absolutely love the atmosphere and the customer service. I stopped by about a week ago to pick up a few items for my goddaughter and I was helped by someone named Jazzary and she was by far, the sweetest person I could’ve asked for to help me find the right item. There are a lot of options at this location and very high quality. Not to mention, Garden city is also very beautiful to relax and enjoy company.
As a side-note, I couldn't help but notice the poor review left by Maria Tonioli which is unfortunate and surprised me to read. Although, I think if someone feels the need to mention their LV bag when leaving a review for a baby store, they might have to reconsider their own self-image and values rather than placing the blame on others. It would be like me writing a review about a steakhouse and mentioning wearing a clean new outfit and a Rolex because the waiter was mocking me with a smile. lol no offense but certainly something a “Karen” would do. The store and their team deserve better recognition. That post makes me feel “ew” for her insecurities. Again, no offense that just seemed to be a very unjustified and misleading review.

Disappointed to find the same items i've seen on Temu just with a different brand name tag sewn on. i'd expect more from such a large store.
Edit: Thank you for your reply. Perhaps I should have been more specific. The butterfly dress you are selling is from AliExpress according to the image source it was first published on AliExpress, thus making them the original owner. Hope this helps.

I used to LOVE this store when I was expecting and once I had my little one. I have made every major purchase here when it comes to baby gear and was excited to shop for my brand new niece today. When I walked in, I was surprised to not even be greeted by the two young ladies behind the counter but even more surprised when I realized they were whispering about me and looking at me in a very judgmental way. I tried to not let it bother me and kept shopping, because again, I’ve always loved this store. Unfortunately, things took a turn when I walked past them and one literally said OUT LOUD “ew” and moved out of my way. Mind you, I came in with my LV bag, clean new outfit and shoes, done up and feeling very confident. Not that these things should matter but when the whispering started I was trying to figure out what it could possibly be that would cause two people to act this way towards a customer. I won’t be going back, which is sad because Julie and her staff have never made me feel this way before. I hope maybe this review meets the right set of eyes and some sensitivity training is done because to be treated like this in an upscale boutique is absolutely ridiculous.

I'll say this about Mod Mama, some employees are amazing- and others are not! We walked in there when we first found out we were pregnant to look at some baby gear and a wonderful younger staff member helped us out. I wish I got her name because she was incredibly helpful. She gave us a gift bag with some details about registry info, information on all the car seats & strollers, and just was able to manage the store all by herself dealing with multiple customers as they JUST opening one busy Saturday morning. Idr her name but she was amazing. Flash forward to just recently when we went in, now in our third trimester and wasn't even GREETED at the door by anyone. There were two employees working, one younger and one older woman with dark short brown/black hair. When we asked about the Nuna car seats, the older woman with the short black hair didn't even want to give us the time of day. We were looking for more information about it and she just told us that the Nuna car seat they have on display is the only Nuna car seat they can sell or something like that. She didn't come over and offer us a product demo or nothing. And the store was EMPTY. It was just me and my wife there. Instead, her and the younger employee was too busy trying to order Starbucks from next door. We did end up spending some time in the store checking out clothes & whatnot and did walk away with a $60 sleeper, but neither employees tried to help us in anyway shape or form and we were there for a good half hour. Granted, it was towards the end of the day, but this was a complete 180 from our previous experience here. I will say this, Mod Mama still tends to be the best spot in RI to grab baby gear & clothes but whoever doing the hiring needs to take a hard look at their employees because some of them can care less about the customers! Please take appropriate action! Being new parents is scary and having someone showcase & demo all the nice brands out there is sooooo nice to have locally. Other recent reviews mention the same sorta customer service, I just hope it doesn't stay like that.

Came in at 6pm 3/8 to make a purchase on a nuna damixx and a nuna lite rx and not one single person came up to assist us. Stood in front of the register for 5 mins to not get assisted. Ill take a ride up to pottery barn or magic bean to get some help.

How judgmental do you have to be to stare down at two potential clients to force them out of the store? These two young ladies, especially a light hair brunette with a nose ring would not stop staring at myself and my husband. Jesus Christ if you think we’re going to steal something, at least come to introduce yourself to keep a better eye on us. This store is literally not even 10 minutes from my house but I’ve never been so agitated and it’s led me to go somewhere else. Whomever owns this location, try to get employees who aren’t judgmental as heck. Never coming back.

I walked into mod mama after reading the reviews figured I could purchase something unique for my newborn baby girl. Some how some way I was over charged on my credit card. I approached the manager maybe owner Julie and she had stated they do NOT do refunds. This matter was NOT my fault as I was over charged by them. She proceeded to tell me I can either have a check or store credit... 2 weeks went by still have not received the check. I called the store 3 times only to tell me they were busy with customers EVERY time. My mother then called and sure enough she got the supervisor on the phone and then was hung up on. We drove to the business where "Julie" was confronted and denied writing the confirmation on paper about my refund. She signed it and wrote it. My mother face timed me and showed me her OF COURSE it was her, I had to remind her of the incident for her to recognize HER OWN SIGNATURE... go figure ... Long story short TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE my refund was NEVER MAILED OUT it took multiple calls and even a appearance to get my money back !! NOT EVEN A APOLOGY NOTHING SNOBBY EMPLOYEES.

Such a fun place to shop! Everything is adorable and high quality. The staff is knowledgeable about every brand they carry and give great gear recommendations and demonstrations. They really helped this first time mom figure out what I actually needed on my baby registry.

I had a really good experience visiting Mod Mama to check out the Uppababy strollers and car seats before committing to buy them. Ruth showed my husband and I all the attachments and how the devices worked. She was extremely kind even though she knew we were just looking. She helped up set up a registry with their store for the people in my life that prefer to shop in person, she even took my Babylist information and password and hooked up my mod mama registry with my online one, creating one less thing for me to have to do. Also side note, they had some of the cutest stuffed animals I've ever seen!
