Oh they are absolutely lovely, kind and intelligent people. I was super nervous about moving from our old vet who had seen my dog for 8 years, but they made the transition super easy. They listened empathetically to my concerns and provided options. I look forward to a long relationship to come.

For my first cat grooming appointment, for $107 plus tip I was not impressed. I asked for a flea dip (just in case), nails, ears & teeth cleaned, (long-haired cat) paws and sanitary trim, and a de-shedding....He definitely got a bath because he was still wet when I picked him up. She said she didn't do teeth, ears looked the same, I had to trim his feet myself, nails were clipped but left with hangnails, his bum looked the same....but his armpits were shaved for some reason ?. I don't know I just wasn't impressed or even content with the results of this 3hr appointment. I just expected better.

Conveniently hard to reach. Getting fed up pursuing care for my dog with them. Doctor’s either not in the office, or when she’s supposed to be, they’re not taking calls. This is after I was supposed to get multiple calls back already.

My dog is very big and strong. He also gets very nervous when he goes to the vet. Dr. Goff and all of the techs and nurses were so good about working around my dog's nervousness. Everyone stepped in to calm him and make him feel loved and comfortable. My dog was still a little bit difficult, I have to admit. BUT. They show so much care and compassion and when it gets down to it, they get their job done. I appreciate the follow ups from the doctors. They all really seem to care. I won't take my pets anywhere else.

Just had the most wonderful experience here. Dr. Fielding was incredibly kind and thoughtful in explaining what my cat needed for a urinary issue. Fairly priced and I never felt like I was being “sold” expensive tests or unnecessary additions.

Been going here since 2019. Always recommended them to everyone. The past year they have gone down hill. They won't make "emergency" appointments. I called with concern that my dog was still coughing since his visit a month ago and have yet to receive a call back 2 weeks later. Ended up at tufts and he had pneumonia. Switching vets even though I love the vet techs.

If I could give 0 stars I would. WARNING!! UNETHICAL VETERINARY SERVICES!!! My dog was seen there to be spayed. During the pre-surgery exam, the "Vet" said these words "She has breast cancer." Not "I feel a lump, let's check it out." No, his words were "She has breast cancer" then they proceeded to give me an estimate of nearly $1000 to do a lumpectomy, etc, before she could have her surgery. So I took her to Potter League for a 2nd opinion. She had no lump, no cancer, no anything!!!!! So I'm not sure what that "Vet" was going to remove but it would have cost me nearly $1000!!! Still, I had to have her fixed by them since they already had the voucher for it. That was on 4/28. Fast forward to a few weeks ago, I was scratching her belly which I don't normally do which is why I never noticed a stitch still in her belly!!! Thinking that this can't be ok, I called them first thing in the morning and was told "Yes, that's normal. It can take a few months for the stitches to dissolve." Not sure why, but I took her word for it. Well, IT'S NOT NORMAL!! And now I have a concern if they even did her surgery correctly. This "Vet" is unethical!!! He, Dr. Mowry, is giving incorrect diagnoses to soak you for money. And the female "Vet", Dr. Gifford, apparently cannot even do stitches correctly. I will be filing a formal complaint with the Rhode Island Board of Veterinary Medicine.

We had to put down are beloved dog today which is it very hard thing to do for anyone. All of the staff where so nice caring and sorry for our loss. After the process was done they told us stay as long as we wanted and even let him keep his favorite blanket till we pick up his ashes. Would definitely recommend them for the care of your pets.

This was my second visit, first for me meeting my kitty’s team! When I told the receptionist I was worried about her, she was able to find me an earlier appointment. I was alsoworried about costs if she needed tests or xrays. I left there assured Annie was fine, along with consideration given to price of visit. In addition to their professional care, I am most grateful to Abbott Valley Vets for their gentle manner with Annie and compassion for a nervous owner!

Abbott Valley Vet... there is so much I can say about this vet center. All of it is positive.Last year, during the summer, I needed to find a vet for my female cat to be spayed. This veterinary center was highly recommended and accepted my SNAP form. They were able to get her in fairly quickly considering how busy all vets have been recently. When the day of her surgery came everyone was so kind to her and to myself. I was very anxious about leaving my girl but I had nothing to worry about! She had not one complication and she healed very very well!! They took very good care of my girl.I started noticing issues with my boy right before Christmas last year. He was losing weight fast , wasn't eating, and I started to see blood in his stool. Dr. Mowry was able to see him within a couple of days. He was SO gentle with my terrified, fragile boy. The vet techs were also fantastic. Unfortunately, my boy didn't have a good diagnosis but Abbott Valley has done everything they can to help him. If it was not for Dr. Mowry and his team I would have lost my boy before Christmas 2021 and I am writing this on Valentine's day 2022... and my boy just ate some of his breakfast. They gave my boy every shot at a fighting chance they could and I will never be able to show my gratitude enough.I have also had to call the vet center several times and have had so many questions. They are always so friendly, patient and answer every question I have. Dr. Mowry has even called to check on my boy.I have spoken on the phone with Donna the most and she is really wonderful. Very patient and always helpful. There is not one bad thing to say about Abbott Valley Vet Center. You can tell they care about and love animals. I have and will continue to trust them with any animal babies I have.Thank you Abbott Valley Vet and Dr. Mowry for treating my fur babies like your fur babies. We are so grateful for you all! ❤
