I had a horrible experience in your bank. I was attempted to cash a check for the use of my nursing home residents for Christmas. The bank has a check cashing policy that does not allow you to cash a check, from Bank RI, without 2 forms of identification. The teller informed me that I needed a photo ID and bank card or major credit card, neither of which I carry day to day. I don't understand why my personal information would be required for such a transaction? I attempted to provide other ID such as my health insurance card but was told it wasn't sufficient. The teller then suggested I produce my birth certificate or my Social Security Card, neither of which I carry with me. The staff was unhelpful, rude and demeaning. I was humiliated in front of other customers and called to the "Managers office "to complete my transaction. Your policy is discriminatory to those of limited means.
