i showed up at 4:40 and the doors were locked and i was given a dirty look and and her arms crossed in the shape of an X by one of the tellers. i rushed here from work and i thought they closed at 5 but apparently they like to close whenever they feel like it.

This place is ridiculous. Absolutely horrible customer service. I wait 2 hours on the phone after them saying 30 minutes and then they hang up over and over again. It is ridiculous.

I personally have never had a problem with this bank. Everyone that works there is great. Rosanne is by far the best business person to deal with. She knows her stuff. Very professional & efficient. I will be seeing her again for my second home equity line.

Nice hardworking staff, this review is strictly regarding the extremely long wait times. I have been to this branch several times during different days of the week and all different hours. No matter when you visit this location, expect a very long wait time, long lines inside the branch as well as in the drive thru. It takes about 30 minutes of wait time or longer before getting assistance from a teller. Their is only 1 lane for the drive up teller and 2 lanes for ATM transactions, it should be the other way around. These problems are all due to this branch being short staffed, with more staff it will solve a lot of these problems and will keep the customers happy to not wait over 30 minutes in line.

Don't deposit a certified check( as good as cash) from another bank into an acct w Citzens. They hold your money hostige for 5 business days before the money is made available. Unreal....

Avoid doing business with this lender. I was trying to refi my rental with Citizens Bank because I was quoted a decent rate. However the loan process was insane! I provided all docs up front and every week they wanted some new. I was supposed to be clear to close with last conditions received by underwriting. Then they said they needed the rental comps from the appraiser that they sent 2 months ago and then added more conditions. This dragged on for almost 3 months and I finally called off the refi. What's a waste of time, energy, effort, and money. I will NEVER do any business with this lender again. If you are a consumer and reading this, trust me. Avoid the pain and go with another lender.

I haven't been inside a bank in a very long time. I rolled a bunch of change and carried it in the bank. The teller was very pleasant. Everything is done with your ATM card now. I looked around for a deposit slip and couldn't find one. Amazing how few people were in the bank.

I have had only positive experiences with this branch (622 Taunton Ave., East Providence, RI). On two occasions, 8 months apart, money was fraudulently withdrawn from my account., and both times the money was refunded in a timely manner. On the first occasion I went to the branch, filled out some paperwork, and the money reappeared in my account two weeks later. On the second occasion funds were withdrawn using Zelle, a digital payment service that I'd never heard of. The customer service rep, Ben Palmer, patiently helped me fill out the required paperwork. An initial computer analysis rejected my claim and I received a form letter saying that the funds would not be returned. The branch manager, Lori, met with me and personally escalated the matter to the Citizens Bank headquarters, explaining that I had never used Zelle and never showed any suspicious activity. And one again the money was returned to my account within two weeks. I decided recently to open a Roth IRA, and the branch's financial advisor, Robin, suggested putting the funds into a marked-linked CD, which I'd never heard of. She went into great detail explaining what this type of CD is, and was completely upfront about the risks involved She also stressed that I was under absolutely no pressure and that I didn't have to go thru with the investment if I didn't feel completely comfortable with it. One other thing that I like is that you can call the branch (rather than the main customer service phone number) and almost always get thru to a real live person without waiting on hold. If a banker is not available, a teller will answer and if necessary relay a message, and a banker will return the call promplty.

They are the worst and I am so frustrated that i am tied into them with a home equity loan. Don't EVER get a loan with them or bother with banking. Their online banking is unreliable - won't load at times or creaky slow at best (not my connection's fault to be sure as I access everything else quickly). So you try the phone and you have to wait at least 15 minutes. You can only email them via your online account and so if it's a day that you can't load your account you're screwed. In addition they have all the same and more crazy fees that yes, lots of banks have, so better to do your homework and find one more reliable.
