Debra gave me literally the best haircut of my life. I have never felt so good about my curls. She spent extra time working with me to make sure I was happy with my cut and was extremely kind and knowledgeable. Not only did I leave with an amazing cut, but a whole new understanding of how to care for my specific curl type properly. Highly recommend!Service: Haircut

I was looking for a salon where they know how to deal with curly hair. I found this one and I called to make an appointment for a consultation with Debra since this was going to be my first time to do a professional curly cut. Debra answered the phone and told me she was taking an appointment at the moment but to leave my phone number so she'll call me back. Two days passed and never received a call from her, so I called again and I told the lady who picked up the phone what I wanted and she also took my name and phone number and told me that Debra will call me when she is available. It is already a week that I called and she NEVER called me back. If they don't do consultations, it's easy to say they don't do consultations appointment instead of make a person wait for a call. Because of the reviews I thought I was going to have a good experience, but it was totally the opposite. ??

I have been a client for almost two years I believe and I see Debra. I am a curly girl. She is amazing. She knows her stuff. She shares all her tips with me and makes me understand my hair. I didn’t have hope but Debra made me believe I can achieve the the curls I wanted. She was patient with me, I listened and now I have curls that I love that I once did not. My hair was horrible and now I have beautiful healthy curls. I transitioned from straight hair every week at a different salon to now natural beautiful bouncy curls. I am proud to say I am Debra’s client. Service: Hair styling

Debra is very knowledgeable and talented when it comes to the curly hair world. I've been transitioning my hair back to natural curly hair for this past year and I have to say this new journey isn't been easy at all for me (especially after straightening my hair for over 20 years). I had an appointment with Debra last month and had my first personalized curly haircut with her then. We discussed my goals and how to get there, she answered all my questions and gave me many valuable tips that is making my curly journey way easier than before. I'll be back in a few months for another haircut and possibly color!!! I gotta say that watching my hair's progress and my natural curls beautifully blossoming since last time I saw her is amazing!!! I can't wait to be back in December! Highly recommend her services for any and all curly girls out there!!

I’ve had my hair cut here a few times now. I have 3B curls and I get my hair cut by Deb. I’ve done devacuts with her in the past which were always great, and I’ve now moved onto the rezocut and rezolites. She is such a great stylist!!! Very knowledgeable and she will listen to your needs when in her chair to give you your desired look.

Debra is the best stylish that I've ever known. It took me 10 years to find someone who can manage my hair.

If I could give this no stars...I would. They just do not listen. I called and specifically talked tj the receptionist and told her I did NOT want the deva cut but rather a trim. Stated I had a big chop two years ago and Haden's had a trim since. ALThough my Hair was VERY healthy. She said it was fine and I booked . I stayed to TONI as well. Just wanted my hair cleanup up(a little shape a little volume but not too much ......I LEFT AND CRIED . I did a big chop almost two years ago. I worked so hard for my hair to grow to fast . I left with basically a big chop again . I know it's just hair but I'm still just so very upset. I will definitely NEVER recommend and NEVER go back. !

I am essentially a nervous Greyhound when it comes to haircuts, due to a series of traumatic curly cuts over the years. Thomas gave me my first proper Devacut in about 2 years (!) this weekend and it was really the best haircut experience I've had to date. He transformed my Mufasa mane into the long curly bob I showed him while also tweaking my inspiration photo to better suit my length needs and curl type. I am absolutely in love with my style and may actually maintain this length for the first time in forever. 10/10, would recommend to my curly friends. Before and after pics below!

I've been coming here for nearly 2 years, never had any issues with the way my hair was cut up until now, I've always went in for a DEAD ENDS cut, just a cleaning & now that my hair has grown so much length to it, it's been cut too excessive on one side than the other & not only that but a good amount of my longer hair (NEW GROWTH!!!) was cut off when I NEVER asked for a "Haircut" I only set my appointment for a DEAD ENDS cut nothing more, it's always been like that for the long time I was going there thats how i have always set my appointments to be for that only, this specific hair stylist KNOWS this. I've come home to really look at my hair & I am very disappointed spent so much time growing my hair out for this long for it to be ruined yet again. I went in to bring it up to the person who did my hair & he (Thomas) had suggested to cut more of my hair which isn't what I wanted at all last thing I needed offered to me after yet another betrayal from another salon before this one. Nothing was done about it when I went in to SHOW him let him know how unhappy I was with this excessive haircut & I was told " I don't know what to tell you".Not really acknowledging what the mess up truly was. Also charging me also $65 for going scissor crazy & still I wasn't even being heard. very disappointed, that goes to show you how much you can't trust anyone with your hair no matter how long you've been seeing the same hair stylist, I'm not going back ever.

Debra Gomes from this salon is VERY unprofessional; she has poor customer service and communication. I scheduled a rizo cut a MONTH in advance. On the call we went back and forth to see what day/time she had available. She said i only have 8am July 18th the earliest. So i said okay and booked for that day. She asked me if I've been to the salon before and then summarized the time/day of the appointment and we hung up. Remember: this was a month in advance! The day OF the appointment i show up on time and walk in. As soon as i walk in, i didn't even open my mouth to say who i was to receptionist and i hear someone call my name. It was Debra - she said "sorry i made a mistake , your appointment is for 11 not 8am." Not once did she call me to tell me that she mistakenly told me the wrong time of the appointment booked. She had an ENTIRE month to avoid any confusion. She never called. I told her "did you call me?" Her response was "no because i have you for 11." So you're telling me, somehow you knew who i was walking in at 8AM, but didn't call me because you thought i was coming in at 11am? So how the hell you knew who i was? BECAUSE YOU KNEW YOU MESSED UP AND TOLD ME 8AM BUT WROTE DOWN 11am???!! As a professional, YOU need to CALL your clients if you think you messed up scheduling an appointment - IN ADVANCE!!!! Not when the customer is in the salon at the a** crack of dawn on an empty stomach and you giving them attitude saying YOU made a mistake with booking. It is YOUR responsibility to tell the client before their appointment, BEFORE they show up. You expect that i have the whole entire day cleared up for your leisure? BE PROFESSIONAL. TAKE ACCOUNTABILITY. On top of that she said "besides i can't do you hair because of how you currently have it" (WITH ATTITUDE) i had a hat and my hair was half up half down - MIND YOUUUUUU, this girl never not once told me on the call how i had to have my hair coming to the appointment. We went back and forth with booking during the call so she must've forgot to tell me how i had to have my hair for the appointment- AGAINNNN HERRRRRR FAULT. So instead of TAKING ACCOUNTABILITY- she goes on by saying "i ALWAYS tell my clients how they should have their hair"... y'all this girl was calling me a liar. Instead of apologizing and TAKING ACCOUNTABILITY, she goes and WITH confidence calls her clients liars. When i know for a fact 100000% she was completely WRONG, I WISH HAD RECORDED THE CALL BECAUSE THATS HOW SURE I WAS SHE DID NOT EXPLAIN HOW TO HAVE MY HAIR FOR THE APPOINTMENT. Customer service rule #1 empathize with the customer AND NEVER POINT THE FINGER AT THEM. TAKE ACCOUNTABILITY. She could've EASILY deescalated the situation by empathizing and taking accountability for HER mistakes and by agreeing she could've called me in advance and that she should have explained how my hair should have been. Instead she gave me so much attitude, had a VERY careless demeanor and was pointing the finger at me as if i was a "liar" and was "wrong". Debra Gomes needs some SERIOUS customer service training if she expects to work in a salon or anywhere that requires customer service because that was completely ridiculous. I have already told my curly haired friends to NOT go to this salon after i recommended them on going. It's a complete shame. I've been to this salon twice and had Thomas do deva cuts on my hair and he is a role model as far as customer service goes - he is a complete sweetheart and has amazing customer service. I always tipped him well and even bought products after my appointment. Unfortunately i will not be coming back to this salon and will make sure others know not to go here. And before anyone reading this thinks "if you had a deva cut, you should know how to have you hair for the appointment" this was my first rizo cut appointment which is different than a Deva cut so no, i did not know i had to have my hair natural and like i said - it is the stylis

Got my Deva cut here and it was left a choppy mess, not once but twice. I should have learned my lesson the first time. My hair is short in the back and super long in the front. I look like the curl headed version of the "let me see your manager" lady. To top it off before I left, the stylist teased out my curls to show me how to refresh them (as if I didn't have this hair for 33 years). So you know I looked crazy with one side full of frizz. If you cherish your curls as much as I do, save yourself the heartache.
