Played Sat 10/26. Greatly exceeded expectations. Was in great shape for late in season. Fun layout, plenty of room to miss on most holes, but hardly a straight putt all day. Really fun greens. Staff was very friendly and restaurant looked nice too, though we didnt stay for lunch. Will be back

Course is great....ownership and staff are a joke....they let groups play as 6 somes and 8 somes.... charge you full price and expect everyone to be ok playing a 5 n half hr round....Ranger was called to the groups doing this, took almost an hour to respond, and when they did, did nothing about it...SELL THIS COURSE AND GET OUT OF THE INDUSTRY, gross.

Nice place overall and well maintained greens but I have to say they need to be a bit more selective with whom they hire. My outing (around 2-3 weeks ago) was nearly spoiled by some blonde woman (an EMPLOYEE) whipping around in a golf cart while using her cell phone. After having to nearly dive out of the way I came across her later on and politely let her know she needed to be more careful as she almost ran into me less than an hour before. In return she told me I needed to watch out for her and if I had a problem I could take it up with her boss. When I asked for her name she told me it didn’t matter and sped off. I came across another employee and they informed me that her name was Crystal. Unfortunately I had a work meeting and could not follow up that day as my outing ended a couple holes early. For such a nice place they should hire people that have better customer oriented attitudes that aren’t rude and (quite frankly) trashy.

We've tried some of the other local recommended places. No shade, but we're all in on FH. If you're even remotely in the area, check it out (again, open to the public).
Best Caesar salad and burger we’ve had (maybe ever?). Chef Lisa and team knock it out of the park every week (we plan our weekend around the weekly dinner specials).

Bravo to a hidden gem. A passionate, creative and extremely talented chef. An amazing meal at a lovely setting. And a delightful and welcoming staff. A recipe for a perfect meal. Save room for dessert. Everything is made from scratch. Can’t recommend enough and look forward to returning soon.

I liked this course, although it was difficult for me. I suggest playing from a front set of tees, as there are several long carries required to reach the fairway. Also, the greens were recently aerated, so they were very bumpy. They could use to be rolled a few times...I look forward to playing it again from the white tees..

The only reason they get more than 1 star is because the course was in very good shape. But the overall experience was terrible. My group paid our greens fees 20 minutes before our tee time and then got stopped as we were trying to tee off because the staff said one of us didn’t pay. We all verified that we had indeed paid, but one of my friends didn’t get charged for the golf cart fee. So the course screwed that up and still asked us to pull up our bank accounts to show that the rest of us had paid. Apparently they’ve had issues taking payment with other people too. Figure it out, guys. Then we got slowed down badly on the back 9 because there was a group of 6 people playing together with 4 golf carts. We reported them and instead of kicking them off the course, the ranger separated them into 2 groups on the 16th hole which only slowed things down more. We also had one guy in our group who had never played before and we asked the staff if he could pay a greens fee and ride along without playing. They said he couldn’t because it would be a “liability issue.” I’d love to hear how that’s a liability issue.

Ate dinner and was pleasantly surprised. The food was outstanding. Had the chicken dish with crispy chicken and arugula salad and the ravioli. It was unbelievable. Enjoyed desert and the tiramisu martini to finish it off. Highly recommend the restaurant. Staff was superb. Will be going back for sure.

Very impressed with the course. They have great conditions with an interesting layout, while preserving the new england feel unique to the land. Some holes will be challenging for sure; the greens are protected and tricky

LOCALS TAKE NOTICE!
Fenner Hill Restaurant is also open to the public, no golfing required! The restaurant is a hidden gem in Hope Valley as delicious food is somewhat of a scarcity in the area. I’ve been here 3 times and both the food and service have consistently been wonderful! In addition, they just released their new lunch and dinner menus. My guest and I most recently enjoyed the fried chicken sandwich and burger served with house made chips and chipotle mayo, yum!
I look forward to frequently visiting this establishment, especially in the off season. Give this place a try, your taste buds will thank you! ?

Best of the 3 golf courses we have played on vacation in the area. Can't complain about anything really great greens and fairways the rough was fine. Common theme around this area hard sand in traps. Quite a few thinking holes mostly open fairways not really a true links course but enough elements.

We went to the restaurant at Fenner Hill Golf Course last night and had a pleasant surprise! We have been to this restaurant several times in the past and it was good, but nothing to write a review about. They now have a new Executive Chef, new attentive wait staff, and exciting new menu. Our meals were delicious and had an eclectic flare that this restaurant has never had before. I would recommend giving them a try whether you golf or not. You will not be disappointed. This place brings a whole new, much needed level of dining to this area. Also, if you are visiting the Westerly area, a short drive here will take you away from the crowds and give you a delicious meal in a relaxing atmosphere.

Greens were mid, tee boxes were even worse.
Tee sheet looked wide open but showed up to leagues going which made the round very slow, ended up leaving after 4 holes on the front. Won’t be coming back.

Greens rolled good but were so bumpy and there were pitch marks everywhere making the greens honestly pretty bad. Some of the tee boxes look like they haven’t been cut in weeks, the tee sheet was empty when we booked for 2:15 on a Monday and we arrived got sent off the back because they had leagues starting on the front. We then ended up getting stuck behind them after making the turn and left on the 4th hole of the second 9 due to how slow the leagues were. We never once were told about leagues and were not offered a rain check, will not be back.
