“My wife and I went to the Manhattan Shorts film review. The venue was beautiful, warm and friendly. Outstanding place for artistic presentations. We look forward to visiting in the future.”
“Gifted my family a glass blowing class for Christmas. We had so much fun with the Eben and Jen! It was a unique experience that I highly recommend for all to try out.”
“We commissioned Lee to make 4 dinner plates and 4 chowder bowls and serving plates for our daughter’s graduation gift from Salve Regina University. He designed plates with NPT coordinates. Beautiful work! Highly recommend!”
“EMILY recently repaired two bracelets of mine and they now look brand new! The workmanship is beautiful and the turnaround time was impressively quick! I couldn’t be happier with the service and I highly recommend her!
Thank you Emily ?
And don’t forget to visit Athalia of Newport to find creative jewelry designed by Emily!”
“Absolutely fantastic experience with this shop that is truly in a league of its own. A world class selection of some of the most amazing prints and antique collectibles you will ever encounter. Personally this was a must see for me and I believe anyone in Newport. With the museum quality pieces there is no reason not to stop in. The lovely owners were helpful and informative and truly know their works. This shop was a highlight of my visit and something I can’t wait to come back and visit!”
“William Vareika Fine Arts is one of my favorite stops in Newport. It’s like a mini art museum of so many wonderful, significant artists of the past, including some extra sketches and memorabilia of William Trost Richards, and even some old maps and furniture. A must see for any art appreciator!”
“Amazing store! My sister, my daughter and I got bracelets and we love them. Deborah is very kind and she made our experience at Friendly Harbor unforgettable. We will definitely be returning.”
“What a pleasant quaint gallery to visit. The owner, Shari Weschler, was engaging in her conversation with my children who are budding artists, well...one of them anyway! LOL... but we had a very informative conversation about the artwork and facility. Excellent place to visit if you're ever on that "strip."*Side-note* That area itself is very BUSY!!! It's like a car and bike show! Lots of Harleys, lots of people walking, lots of muscle cars and antique muscle cars too...Definitely was NOT expecting to see all of that!!! LOLThanks Shari!!! :-)”
“We had such an enchanted walk through this shop! It is an absolute wonderland of colors, textures and shapes. The creativity of their pieces has me oooing and aaahhhing. The person watching the shop was so friendly and I was so pleased to meet them! We got a handful of their individual beads and I treasure them already.”
“I walked.into the gallery just to browse and immediately saw several photographs that I really liked. Mr. Van Der Wal was interesting, friendly and accommodating! I love my new photo frame of my favorite lighthouses!”
“My friend and I were so charmed by the art and gift selections. From puzzles to embroidered napkins and more, we kept saying “these are gifts I’d actually want.” And the art is varied and whimsical—we especially loved the solid color + text-based art. I am bookmarking this shop for my next trip to Newport!”
“Ashley, the owner, was so very helpful and knowledgeable. She was patient and kind. I won’t hesitate to return with any framing needs.
I highly recommend both Ashley and Picture This Framing and Gallery.”
“Can’t recommend enough! John takes stunning photos that capture the magic of my favorite places in the area, and he has exceptional taste in frames. Plus he’s an absolute pleasure to work with. You’ve got to stop by!”
“Very nice art with some with themes and boats from the Newport area. The tables made out of wood are wonderful. The craftsman of the tables spent a lot of time explaining this work answering questions. Purchased a table and in my case was able to decide on what type of legs. Shipping is also a option also.”
“Went to Arnold Art after getting a price at Michaels for a double diploma frame (Masters and PhD). They designed and built an incredible frame. It well exceeded all of my expectations. It was larger than the one proposed by Michaels, but not too big. They added a build up for free. The wooden frame border was significantly higher quality than Micheals. The absolute kicker was... It only cost me $10 more. UNREAL!!! Arnold Art is top notch and I highly recommended them based on my experience.”
“Hera Gallery is an amazing place to see art, learn something new, support local business, support women run non-profit, get inspired, and meet the artists. For artists, it is a great place to experiment with some cutting edge ideas in a supportive environment or find a community to engage and share the ideas with.”
“Wonderful small gallery with changing exhibits and they are very good at highlighting and featuring local artists. Nice place for a date night or the art lover looking for a smaller venue.”
“Great shop in Portsmouth! A real hidden gem. Beautiful pottery and gorgeous alcohol based prints for sale! Literally something for everyone. Plenty of inventory and a wonderful owner artist!”
“Jessica Hagen Fine Art + Design is, by far, simply the best gallery in Newport, RI. She changes-up constantly, has many shows each year always seeking to curate the very best art and artists to meet the needs of her clientele.”
“It was a pleasure working with the Sheldon Gallery, and particularly consummate artwork professional Michael Montanaro, on the purchase of a very special Anne Packard painting.”
“Popped into this store/gallery on the 4th of July and was soo glad they were open. Very friendly and helpful lady who helped us out and ended up purchasing two little paintings by Victoria Corey - who is also one of the proprietors of the store. Thanks ladies! I grouped your paintings next to my most treasured family heirloom - a painting my grandfather did of my Mother at 19 years of age and engaged to be married to my father.”
