I love the Newport ferry. I go to the Newport jazz festival in fort Adams - park in Jamestown and take the ferry over.

You pay $30 per person. There are 5 stops that the ferry takes you. 5 of the spots you can start from. The ticket is good for the whole day. You can stay on the ferry or get off to explore each place I f you choose to. If not, you just stay and enjoy the trip on the ferry.

A must do when in the area. Park in Jamestown, takenin the shops. Then board the ferry for no fuss delivery to Newport wharf. Can stop at the island and tour the lighthouse for an extra cost.
If you stop at Fort Adam, give yourself a few hours to tour the fort.
All staff were sincere and helpful.
Easy to purchase ticket on line but may not produce a QR code of your purchase if made less than 1 hour before boarding. Make sure to capture a Screencast if your ticket(s).
Stop at DIEGOS at the Wharf for amazing margaritas.
