I did a HELOC online with them. As soon as it closed, I could not get anyone to respond to any of my messages anymore. Gabrielle Cardenas went M.I.A.

I smell a lawsuit brewing…BEWARE BEWARE BEWARE!!! Don’t open an account with Citizens because you will never be safe after closing an account in good standing!!!I drew down my account to $0.00, called on the phone to close the account, and they confirmed it was closed. Then a few days later PayPal tried to charge $10 on a monthly billing plan to the closed account. Instead of declining the charge, Citizens RE-OPENED THE CLOSED ACCOUNT WITHOUT MY KNOWLEDGE OR AUTHORIZATION!!!! They didn’t pay PayPal, but they did charge an overdraft fee (still unclear as to why?!!) and then because there was a fee in effect, the account balance was NEGATIVE. So they have been charging fees for a negative account balance for months!I spent OVER TWO HOURS on the phone with customer service and their “asset recovery” department today, spoke with 5 different people and might as well have spoken with a wall. They only knew how to parrot back whatever they were reading “ma’am since there was a pre-authorization in place the account was reopened and overdrawn” even though Citizens paid NOTHING from my account to anyone…! They only charged their own fee which caused a negative account balance, and then they’ve been piling up fees for months due to the negative balance they created on the account THEY OPENED without my knowledge or authorization…!!!

If I could leave no stars, I would. This is a horrible bank. I participated in Citizen’s offer of a $600 bonus to open a new savings and checking accounts for the designated dollar amounts and for a specified period of time. for each account, I would receive a $300 bonus for a total of $600. I have not received a 1099 form for my taxes. When I questioned their customer service about this, I was told, “It’s a bonus. It not earned interest.” I responded, “It’s still earned income and should have a 1099 form associated with it” I have spent countless hours on this. One woman told me she would look into it. When I called “Haley in Pittsburgh” back at the number she gave me, it was a non working number. I talked to Dave in ICR, Immediate Customer Response on Friday, 2/17/2023, he said he would ensure I got the 1099 in my email by the end of the day. I still don’t have it. This is the only item preventing me from having my 2022 taxes done. I am currently holding, once again, on one of their toll-free numbers. My accounts are no longer on their system, so I can’t print the information. NEVER AGAIN WILL I DO BUSINESS WITH THIS BANK.

II was hired though a temp service ( not knowing it @ first ) was hired for mid day shift. Being I'm a single parent yesterday I was told my hours are 3-midnight The manager told me that I was a temp and to take it our leave it very rude and unprofessional I wouldn't recommend this place for employment
