Until today, I had never been to this Branch before, but I was impressed with the architectural attention to detail, with can sometimes be lacking with new bank branch construction.I only came in to handle a routine matter with the accounts, but I was very impressed like I am with all Bank RI locations how the managers will come out and say hello, and ask if everything is alright. Everyone is super friendly, and usually there are no lines.

I have used many banks over the years. Of course the small local ones are better. I have had some great customer service over the years. However NO ONE has ever done so much to help me as Ashley Wilson.Even though I was just a small business she couldn’t do enough to help me when transitioning from another bank. I have since opened many more accounts for family members, personal accounts etc. I use Bank Ri even when a better deal is elsewhere because of Ashley’s excellent service that I can always fall back on.Overall BankRI is much better than other banks.

I have been a long time BankRI customer. I actually predate BankRI and have been with the company through many acquisitions and transfers. Many of the staff are amazing and helpful. Unfortunately BankRI recently took on a new commercial lending team after the retirement of their team who has been in place for twenty years. The new guy, Joe, is the worst replacement they could have found. Our business LOC was shut off during the crisis as was our personal LOC with no notification. As a business with half a million dollars in receivables this was unacceptable. No phone call, no text message, no email. Just a new sheriff in town. I do not know about other business owners but I really value communication. I can handle anything (heck I am a small business owner!) but to be blindsided by the institution I have placed my financial trust in is completely unacceptable. I can only surmise that because BankRI stock is down 40% and they are likely facing a major capitalization shortage they felt it was in their best interest to crack down on small businesses. Guess what, BankRI, small business built you. Clearly this bank has outgrown my banking needs and I will be bringing my business and the business of my family elsewhere along with our assets. It only takes one A*****E to ruin a twenty year relationship of your most loyal customers. In closing GO URI, I knew I did not like you anyway for supporting PC (which is funny because y’all went to high schools for colleges). I wish you the best of luck. It’s really hard to earn million dollar customers. Take care.

I have been banking at Bank Rhode Island since the 20th century when they were called Peoples Bank and were located on Medway Street off of Wayland Square! I have always found people working at this bank to be friendly and accommodating. Thus, even though I now live in Brooklyn, I continue to have an account at Bank RI!

This bank has been pretty sketchy from the beginning. I just found out that they charge me $6 a month for having a checking account and an additional $.25 every time I swipe my debit card. I wanted them to take my money out immediately and instead the employee talked my ear off in an attempt to keep my business. I now have to rush back after an appointment to get my money out of there before they close. Do not use this bank!
