I love this garden center. They've been very handy for just about anything I've needed in my garden or yard. They have a wide range of flowers, shrubs, trees, and plants. They also offer sod and turf as well as all types of gardening soils and fertilizers. You can find the materials and plan almost any outdoor extravaganza with their help. Plenty of parking, and they'll even help you load

Nonexistent customer service. Asked no less than 10 employees for help and was told its not their area. Went to Customer Service and ask for help. Waited another 10 minutes with no help... Left store...

Home Depot's garden center is an absolute delight that never disappoints; from the herbs we love down to flowers to make our yard shine. The rest is a great value for the money, especially finding the clearance sections and hidden deals. We love the race car buggy's for our littles as well. Whether it's finding play sand for our daughter's birthday or sealant to fix the bulkhead, they consistently have everything we need. Moreover, their extensive range of paint colors ensures that we always find the perfect shade. A reliable go-to for all our DIY needs.

I worked in Retail for 10 years, so I know how it all works, and this store is by far the worst!Recently, I went in to get help with Trex. There were no employees in sight. When my SO went to find someone, they said they only worked plumbing and could not help me. Whaaaaat??? He asked me 3 times what I was referring to to which I replied... Trex... Composite Decking... Decking, but not wood. He said he had no idea as I directed him to the display. At last, he finds the Assistant Store Manager... He can help! The ASM tells me the Customer Service Desk, the one that handles returns can help me with that? Ummm... No! Rather than escort me, or have an associate walk me over, he points. Are you kidding me?? To humor him and waste my own time, I walked over to find one 20-something worker who looked like he had never labored his entire life was on the phone with a customer. Rather than waste additional time, I walked out and ordered online.I also HAVE to buy things here for work as I work in Newport, and the employees are mostly unhelpful and absolutely miserable. Listen, I didn't choose your job. If you don't want to help me, that's fine, but it is your job. You get paid to help me, wear a smile and do your job!The self checkouts are a mixed bag. One day there was literally only one open with a line of 6 customers waiting to be rung out? Is this real life? OPEN A REGULAR REGISTER AND RING PEOPLE OUT! You literally have 2 in the Pro section. Pull someone from the floor and expedite the service! What a waste of time!Worst managed store ever! FIX IT!

Worst customer service in the world. Needs new management. Three examples from the last couple of years:1. During the mandatory masking phase of the pandemic the checkout clerk kept pulling down her mask, and yelled at me when I asked her to stay masked. Store policy was that employees remained masked at all times, she did not care and neither did management.2. I ordered an item for curbside pickup. I did everything they told me to do, parked in the right space, called the right number, and they told me it would be right out. Twenty minutes later, nothing. Called them again. Again, no delivery. Finally gave up.3. I ordered some garage cabinets this week online because the store did not have enough in stock. It was supposed to be delivered to my home. Instead I got an email from UPS saying "Jason" had signed for it and it had been delivered. Don't really know any Jasons, and it was definitely not delivered. Spent better part of the afternoon on the phone, everyone blaming everyone else while the cabinets were at the store two miles away. UPS took them to the store, and whoever was in receiving (I assume "Jason") signed it in to the store, even though it was addressed to me.It took me about an hour just to track down where the delivery was. The UPS receipt said it was delivered to my address. The order was for my address. A neighbor? Somebody with a similar sounding street? I didn't know. And the local costumer service folks just tried to palm it off on UPS or refer me to the online site (which referred me back to the local store, which referred me to UPS, which would not allow me to flag the delivery because the Home Depot site would not allow me to complain to UPS, for whom there was no phone number. Then I talked to an independent contractor customer service rep who lived in Louisiana, and could not refer me to a manager to straighten it out, because, in her words, "I don't have a supervisor".So, Home Depot, three strikes and you are out. Never liked shopping there, too much stuff in a big box. While waiting on line for somebody to figure something out I researched alternative stores and discovered that Lowe's had the same thing for much cheaper. And they could get it to my house in about the same time it would take Home Depot to get a driver and truck to deliver it to my house two miles away.I recommend Lowe's or the Ace Hardware in Portsmouth. I suspect that anyone complimenting customer service at this location is probably related to an employee.

There's always a customer service representative with a smiling face ready to answer my meandering and sometimes terribly non-specific questions... they're skilled at helping visualize the project and getting you what you need. Easy return process, too! So grateful to live in a town with a cadre of home improvement professionals like this.

Worst customer service imaginable. Called 4 times got hung up on while on hold. Told by their employee they do not need to provide me with their name. He was horrendously rude. I told them they sold me a security camera already set up by someone else so when I plugged it into my home someone was watching our live feed. Complete invasion of privacy. After I asked the man why are you putting open cameras on your shelf to sell he said why are you buying an already open product. Finally got a hold of the manager after being hung up on for the fourth time. Manager said he would have a discussion with employee and make it know that there is a new policy about returning opened security cameras. Thank god for this manager because that was the worst customer service experience possible. That employee should not be communicating with the public. Hopefully this manager means what he said and future customers don’t need to be put through such a horrific experience.

Based on my experience, I'm shocked to see the overall rating so low. But I also know Yelp will hide most positive reviews. This location is great. The staff are always available and friendly and don't make you feel like an idiot for asking for help finding something. Every time I stop in I have to find something but don't even know what it's called. They must train their people in charades to be able to guess what the hell "normal people" are looking for in a hardware store. One thing I've found especially helpful is the app. You can search for what you need ahead of time and it will show you on a map layout of the store where the item is. I highly recommend this place!

Do not shop here. They will deliver your drier, break it, then tell you they cannot replace it for two weeks. Customer service is absolutely garbage and the third party delivery company they utilize loves to treat people rudely. The only person there that actually does anything is Pam. Hey Home Depot, you need more Pams

The same corporation responsible for crushing a customer to death with an overstock call it continues to disrespect public safety by allowing outside vendors to block an intersection that serves as an emergency vehicle egress lane and a truck lane!! Protect your safety avoid this Home Depot

Horrible service! I online ordered 2 10 x 48 white laminate shelves for in store pick up, they ended up giving me 2 10 x 48 shelves. Went back to home depot to return/exchange the shelves and they only had a damaged one on display. So we asked and supposedly 10 shelves were in shock, but they couldn't find them. So customer service ordered us 2 new shelves online to be delivered to us within 2 days. What happens next? I kid you not they brought the exact same damaged one off their shelf and delivered it and left it at my front door without knocking or me signing anything. They left the unsigned "I accept/reject delivery document" at my front door. I call Home Depot customer service and they promised next day delivery and exchange for the shelves AND IT HAS NOT HAPPENED! Never EVER have I had a problem with Home Depot until now. This is the lowest of low customer service.

I returned a hand vacuum yesterday and I had foolishly forgotten my own battery inside the box. I went back to the store today to see if there was any way to retrieve it. Ashley, who works at the returns department, was super nice and was able to help me out!! I got my battery back! Those are employees you want to keep! Thank you again!

Very good store, clean and well organized. Just about every employee I have spoken with has been knowledgeable and helpful. Far better than the filthy mess Port Chester NY store which unfortunately is the closest to my home.
