The shop is great. The sales people are great. Just had a difficult time being sold essentially a lemon GE dryer and then trying to get a it replaced with a new one. We were informed that GE policy indicates that a qualified GE repairman had to come and asses the brand new unit, 3X.
Well, I don’t understand how a brand new dryer would need to be serviced…and actually have parts replaced? And two parts were replaced.
So, over the course of a busy Newport summer, (being a FT worker as well as a BnB owner, this was a heap of wasted time) a qualified GE repairman came 3X to service the lemon, replace parts (with service times between 8-12…and when you work a FT job on top of a side business, = 1.5 days of work) only to be informed that GE had changed their contracts to 4 service calls, before possibly deeming it a lemon.
The Gil’s staff was not informed this was a policy change by GE until after our 3 service calls.
In the end, a total of 4 service calls were made = 2 days of FT work missed.
Eventually, a new LG dryer was purchased BUT I will never recommend a GE product nor will I ever purchase a GE product again.

Came highly recommended by Rinfret’s Appliance who has done some work on our appliances over the years. We went in on a Saturday, met with Jake who was super helpful in picking out a new washer and dryer set. Gave us a great price along with rebates. Delivery took only a little over a week and they did a great job installing. Everything you can ask in buying a new appliance. Will certainly be going there first in the future if we need anything else.

When I went to the store to buy a new dryer the salesman was very knowledgeable and personable. Once I bought the machine and had it delivered it was fast and the delivery guys were on time and took my old machine and installed my new one. I would recommend Gil’s to all my friends and family!

I got my washer and dryer from Gil’s and I absolutely love it! The man that helped me was honest about which one would be best for the amount of laundry I do and I still got it at a great price. This is definitely where I will be going for now on if I need any appliances.

***HIGHLY RECOMMEND keeping Gil's Appliances on speed dial!*** Outstanding customer service! Jake at the Middletown store was very personable, knowledgable, and up front right from the start. I've owned a rental in the area for 17 years and replaced many appliances. This is the BEST experience I've had. Wish I discovered them years ago!

The washing machine is wonderful -- worth waiting 2 weeks for delivery. Very polite, friendly, and helpful staff, very accommodating.
