Very pleasant stay. The rooms are very clean and well maintained. It has a nice breakfast area and pool and whirlpool. It was better than expected. Highly recommended!

Really well run hotel. Rooms were clean, great service from the staff. Nice extra amenities. We enjoyed our stay here.
Rooms: Good, basic room but clean. Microwave is a nice amenity. Plenty of plugs.

My sister and I came for the seafood festival. The location was perfect. The staff was very accommodating. We especially enjoyed the pool and spa. Everything was immaculate.
Nearby activities: Bowen's Wharf seafood festival in Newport Rhode Island. Every October. Fabulous.

The Wi-Fi is so slow, I had to disconnect to write this review with only 1 bar of cell service. If you think you're getting a deal on pricing, it's because they booked you in the dog section without you asking. Dogs bark in multiple rooms every time someone walks through a door. Asked for another room in the no-dog section and the front desk rep didn't even look at the computer before saying "ohh..well.. the other rooms are probably booked up". The refrigerator rattled. The ac/heat sounded like it was about to fall out of the wall when it turned on. The plug-in dehumidifier was loud. Card access to the pool didn't work. Not a great experience.

Pleasantly surprised with how nice everything was. Grounds were clean as was the room. All the staff interacted with were very friendly and accommodating. Particularly the woman setting up breakfast.

Stayed here at HoJo’s for a few days.
Was greeted by Amy at the desk upon arriving.Warm welcome to say the least.
She was very informative about the area and answered all the questions we had thrown at her.She was wonderful!
Every morning, the ladies that work the kitchen and breakfast area were always busy.They kept the breakfast area spotless,and the bin of eggs & meat were always full.
Tables were wiped clean,as soon as a guest had finished eating and left.
Robin and the rest of the crew are good.Very Good!
It was a pleasure to stay here and we will definitely be back!

Great location only about 3 miles from downtown Newport, breakfast was great ,housekeeping was great. Definitely recommend this place plus Applebee’s is connected, which is always nice..

A great place to stay in the Newport-Middletown area. Room was very clean, staff very helpful. The hotel was also very quiet - no noises in the hallways or from other rooms, which is something we've had to deal with in other places. We really enjoyed our time here.

This was honestly the best Howard Johnson I’ve stayed at (and it’s been a few). It was clean and the rooms were huge. I was so happy they had a pool, whirlpool, and sauna. The breakfast was pretty good too and it was right next to Applebees for some late night take out!

Very nice hotel. It was close to Starbucks, supermarket etc. Close enough to Newport. Only reason I gave it a 4 star for location was because it wasn't walkable to beaches or Newport. Seems like it has been recently renovated. Big plus no wall to wall which I hate. Very clean. Staff was very friendly. Breakfast was ample with scrambled eggs and bacon etc.

Visiting the area for the first time. Hojo worked perfect for my wife and me. Checking in was a smooth process and Kurt was outstanding willing to answer all the questions we had and addressing any concerns. Definitely would stay here again.
