Nipsey was taken care of by three ladies. All doing thier job well. Trying to make him calm. He got his shots and whatever was needed. He was weighed as well. Glad we came .

OMG. so I went to take my dog to get its shots and I got there the two lady at the front were my dog got weighted they were really nice and then when my dog went to go get his shots the guy helping the lady giving the shot and they were. so rude that i can't even explain how rude they were. don't go there to get a dog shot because there so unbelievably rude just go somewhere else

the people that work at the middletown, ri store are a bunch of liars and idiots .... they say i abuse my animals; and will not say who is telling the false lies i am not the one selling boas and/or pythons with no idea what happens to these beautiful snakes when they reach 10-15ft and are eating cats, rabbits and/or smaller dogs.. ask them how they get the tropical fish and or the saltwater fish.... don't believe a word they say when they try to sell you a fish tank or any of the habitats they WILL try to sell you for your guinea pigs... the best kind of cage for your guinea is a c&c cage... they can be found on chewy or amazon ..also petco charges about $60 for their guinea pigs... the potter league charges about $20/guinea pig... if you get 2 guinea pigs (which is recommended) from petco you are spending about $150 for 2 guinea pigs and they are kept in tiny not so clean tanks..v/s larger much cleaner pens at the potter league and the guinea pigs are much cheaper... they charge $20/guinea pig

I'd like to write a nice review about Petco Middletown for a change but unfortunately every time I go there, mostly for fish, I leave completely irate due to their fish salespeople who act like they know everything, when in reality they're working minimum wage in retail and think they're gods gift to the fish world. So yesterday my fish tank sprung a leak. It was time for a replacement or to rehome the last fish since in all honesty it's a lot of work. We're forever home people even with fish so this was difficult. My mom brings the fish to Petco so they can resell. They don't have a big enough tank. It's an emergency situation. I'd even called shelters cause you never know. So the. Mom sees a tank that we could live with and they refused to sell it to her since it wasn't big enough for that one last fish. I'm so tired of the wanna ne know it all salespeople in this store. He actually said "go to Fall River there's a few fish stores there that might take him" sure my moms going to drive around Fall River looking for fish stores when the fish was double bagged and really needed a tank asap. Petco Middletown has completely lost my business and will most likely stay away from the entire chain. This is the second bad experience with them. I'm done.And the know it all employee needs to go work next door at McDonald's. Might be a better fit

A week ago I made an appointment to get my Cavachon groomed today at 3:30. Yesterday I received a text stating they needed a doctors note stating it was okay for her to get groomed, which I sent and then got a confirmation stating they would see her tomorrow. Today about an hour and a half before her appointment I get a call stating they cannot take her today because the doctors not didn't provide the grade of her heart murmur. Just 5 weeks ago she was allowed to be groomed without a doctors note. Their original confirmation states that I would have to give 48 hours notice for cancellation, but they don't need to? Will not use them again in the future.

I have reviewed here before with a lackluster attitude as we have zero options on Aquidneck islandA kick ass person named Cullen made my day!!He came up to me and asked if I needed any help. I was shocked as that literally has never happened here.Just found hot he is the fish guy!Worth going over to the fish just to meet this man! What a refreshing delight! Thank you!!

Grooming- super kind staff. Very affectionate with my dog. Prices are a little high but I highly doubt the local store has much to do with the cost of baths/ grooming. Suffice it to say, you may look around for a better deal, but I bet you'll probably end up going to Petco

DO NOT GET YOUR DOGS GROOMED HERE. My dog was a regular here at one point. Last September I recall is when she suddenly developed a MASSIVE infection around her neck. She became i'll for WEEKS and we thought she wouldn't make it. We prepared for the worst but luckily she is a strong girl. This infection became noticeable about 3 days after her appointment. I touched her neck and it was wet and sticky. Took her to the vet and they said that she had small cuts along her neck from the tools used to groom her. The tools that petco uses must not be washed sufficiently. We were thinking about suing petco for this. It was unbelievable and I couldn't emphasize this enough DO NOT PUT YOUR DOG THROUGH THE PAIN OR EVEN THE RISK OF WHAT MY DOG AND MY FAMILY WENT THROUGH. A once healthy and happy dog became depressed and HARDLY ABLE TO WALK. Her antibiotics didn't work until weeks after her prescription kept changing to be stronger. THE VERY BARE MINIMUM that petco did do was pay for her medical bills. I will NEVER support petco again because of what they did to my dog. IT GETS WORSE. this isn't the first time this happened. A dog died at the hands of Petco in Middletown. In 2017 a dog named Ollie lost his life while his NAILS WERE BEING TRIMMED. That is ridiculous. Also it's no secret that the animals being sold at petco are being mistreated. Look up stories and you'll see how cruel the employees can be. I'm sure not every employee awful but putting animals lives at risk is what gives this petco a one star.
