Blue Dory Inn is a great and cozy place with a perfect location, right by the beach and a short walk to downtown. Guests can stay in the main inn or a private cottage, with rooms like the Tearoom offering a wonderful view. The staff is wonderful, friendly, helpful, and kind, making everyone feel at home. They serve a great breakfast made fresh each morning and offer afternoon snacks with wine. The food, including dips, salsa, cheese, fruit, and crackers, is sneaky good. The inn is also dog-friendly and provides convenient amenities like a guest fridge. Many guests have returned for decades and highly recommend booking early.
Perfect location, staff very friendly and they have a beautiful beach nearby. The hill behind the houses has these perfect seats overlooking the ocean.

We had an amazing stay. Jo-Ann gave us great recommendations for food in the off season. Wine hour was so cute, breakfast was great. A historic gem on Block Island! Highly recommend “Love’s Dream” room, drenched in sunlight with water views.

The first time we stayed at the Blue Dory was 35 years ago, and we have stayed with them a number of times since. Our recent stay was Oct 2025 and it is great as ever!
