I came here multiple times while in Newport. They have many healthy food options and interesting finds. Their prepared foods are also very good and have a large vegan selection. Everything is clearly labeled.

It's a great little supermarket. The checkout chick was nice and the products here are kind of gourmet or different to what you will find elsewhere. If you are buying in bulk for a yacht or something like we were it is ok but don't expect a meat and veg section the size of a whole foods or something. Also make sure you know the zip code of your boat card. You might need it

I cannot share the enthusiasm of the others: supermarket is awfully expensive (cheapest butter starts with 5 USD) and the variety of food is on the one side huge (dozens of flavored waters) but normal things (a bread, blue cheese dip) are not available.
But - to finish with something positive- the things I bought were good.

Fruit I buy here is rotten or moldy, bread not fresh and usually stale. It’s an embarrassment. Never going back.

Never ever would I call this Cesar. Call it what it is!

It was a decent little market with some homemade soup and some pre-made sandwiches. It looks like it once had a deli (they are covering it up with boxes). It's like a mini Whole Foods with healthy foods and the pretentious "we know what's best for you" when it comes to the products they sell. The staff didn't seem real happy to be there. Who knows. I only made one visit and it's not my type of grocery store but if you like Whole Foods and are in the area and want to go to a mini one, this is your place.

2-19-24 - They literally have everything you could want, Natural-Foods-Store-Wise. Deli, bulk, supplements, good produce and grass-fed and organic meats. Staff are super helpful and nice. Prices are not too outrageous despite being near some of the country's most expensive real estate. I had a bowl of chili to warm up after being out walking in the cold. They have a place to eat indoors.

This store is ridiculously expensive, which would be fine if it was a really great store, but it’s not. Very limited meat section. NO fresh bread, it’s all processed. How does a grocery store not have fresh bread? This store is okay if you need a couple pantry items, but that’s about it.

I have been a customer of A Market for over a decade but this morning I was treated very rudely by a cashier after the person behind me in line jumped the queue. Will not be returning ever again. What a shame that a stressed out cashier gets away with trying to hassle a customer

Whole Foods vibe and prices . Pay for parking. If you are staying within walking distance and really care about ingredients, you will appreciate this tiny store with healthy options.

These people give "overpriced" and "nasty" a bad name. Firstly, I need not say more about their prices in general than when at Stop & Shop across the street, I can not only find some identical items selling for a bit less there, but in one case, selling for asa much as $5.00 less. Ha!I used to enjoy the hot, hearty soup they sell along with a dinner roll for lunch. I found it odd that they did not offer butter to accompany their rolls, so I asked for it, once, then twice, but on the third visit--believe it or not--they flatly refused to give me even the slightest pat of butter for my bread. I used to buy most of my groceries there. But no more.
