Aardvark Antiques is a must-visit! I can’t remember the last time I’ve seen so many incredible large pieces in one place. When I walked into the back/side room with all the statues, I was blown away—it felt like I had been transported back to Europe with the beauty of that space. The selection is stunning, and the pricing is very reasonable for the quality of items they have. Definitely worth stopping by if you're looking for unique and impressive antiques!

The people who run Aardvark are terrific. If you need anything, they are there to help you find the treasure you seek, but if you just want to wander and wonder, they seem delighted that you are there for that too. This store is part museum and part flea market - you will find pieces of American history (like pieces of the High Line) mixed in with ye olde time store props like The Little Dutch Boy. Architectural details (including huge sale stained glass windows) from grand Newport homes are everywhere - it is quite a special find. Park inside The gate and get lost in the treasures.

This place is like a museum. I could spend all day here, bring a lunch and a date. Its like the cracker barrel store and a history museum had a baby.

I've been to a fair amount of antique stores throughout the country, but this one rivals them all. The collection of unique outdoor items is unparalleled. The interior section is surprisingly large as well as it feels like you are in a maze with more interesting pieces around every corner. I'll have to admit that I've been trying to go here for years, but rarely find myself in Newport during the week from 10-4, but I'm glad I got to finally stop it. One of the salespeople, Harrison, was very friendly and informative as well. He also mentioned that Aardvark Antiques will do personal, custom castings as well. Like someone else mentioned, bring your checkbook though. The pieces housed here aren't your run of the mill things.
