About Cliff Walk
Cliff Walk is a unique trail that offers stunning views of the ocean and impressive mansions along the coast. Starting from Memorial Blvd, visitors can enjoy a scenic walk that is mostly paved and stroller-friendly, though a carrier is recommended for babies due to narrow sections. The trail begins easily but can be confusing to find the entrance, requiring a few parking attempts. Plenty of free parking is available nearby. The walk covers about 7 miles roundtrip and features a mixture of shoreline, rocky areas, and views of mansions such as the Breakers, along with a beautiful gazebo on an outcrop. While most of the trail is accessible and easy to navigate, some parts involve boulder hiking, where athletic shoes or hiking boots are advised. Visitors often encounter breathtaking scenes every minute, with opportunities to take photos and enjoy the ocean, rocks, and nearby beaches just minutes away. Restrooms and water taps are available along the way, and fishing is common in the area. The trail also passes near St. Regina University, offering additional sights, though the mansions can be obscured by hedges during summer. Overall, Cliff Walk provides a memorable experience filled with natural beauty, ocean views, and a touch of coastal charm reminiscent of small coasts in Wales or Ireland.

Beautiful shoreline walk. Parts are more like boulder hiking. We wore athletic shoes but honestly hiking boots with ankle support would have been best on the rocks. Beautiful views, about 7miles roundtrip! We parked at the Narragansett Ave Waterfront Public Access Point $5 for 4hrs.

I walked from breakers to the north end of cliff walk. Its about 1.2 miles one way. Its beautiful. The view of Atlantic ocean is amazing. There are several points where you could get down and also several points to take photos. Make sure to wear comfortable and sturdy shoes.

So beautiful, there is ocean everywhere as far as your eyes can see. You can see some of the mansions from the back. The path is clean and easily passable. There are wild flowers growing along the path. Some certain parts of the bath have a beachy area where you can reach the water.
