King Park is a beautiful little waterside park in Newport with spectacular views of the harbor, bridge, and ocean, particularly around sunrise or sunset. It is a nice, peaceful place to enjoy nature. The park features a couple of small beaches, a grassy area along the waterfront, and a decent-sized, clean picnic area with a few tables in the shade. There is a playground great for kids, and clean toilets are available. Visitors can swim, kayak, listen to free concerts, and enjoy easy, free parking. The park has historical significance, marked by a pillar and statue, and is a popular place for weddings and gatherings, though it can get quite busy.
A Year round location for rest and relaxation. Everything from a small beach (that you can take a dip in) Sunbath or just enjoy the beauty of newport bay. I walk my dog here quite often. Great path to walk benches to sit on and spaces to roam and play. Great open space for tge whole family
