Have been using this salon for a few years and I’ve finally decided to look elsewhere. After my mani-pedi last week was so poorly done I’m not returning. I was nipped five times and all are infected. This is just careless work. You really must do better.

Communication is poor! I Had to repeat what I wanted at least 4-5 x’s, even when showing pictures. And they still didn’t come out the way I asked. Got a full set of nails done and they didn’t even trim my cuticles-until I mentioned that they didn’t. I got a pedicure as well, and my two big toes are completely different shapes. Last time I will be going to this place.

The place could be nice. But it is dirty. I went for gel nails. French. My nails were cloudy in color and starting cracking within a week. I think they are using old product. Will not go back

I was cut 4 times on 4 different toes during my pedicure with their cuticle scissors. I woke up today with them hurting so much because of it.

I usually go to this salon because it's location is convenient for me. It's definitely not my favorite, but they are quiet and do their jobs. The music they play is not my favorite, it's always a cover of popular songs. It's not the cleanest, but I saw a man sweeping once. I got a full set of acrylics and a gel pedicure today. The gel pedicure comes with a five minute massage. He started the timer before he even started, and when he began massaging, he was barely using any pressure. It felt more like a rub..? Also, only a couple of them can understand English, so it's hard to explain what you want because they can't understand you. Their design skills are average. The French tip line wasn't very even and was kinda chunky. For the acrylics, I should him the attached picture of the pink nails and asked for the same thing but blue. I'll let the photos do the talking :') the total ended up being $168

I am deeply disappointed and troubled by my recent experience at this nail salon. During my visit, I was subjected to highly inappropriate and offensive comments from a staff member that were racially insensitive. This behavior is completely unacceptable and has no place in any business, especially one that serves a diverse community.

This is hands down the best nail salon in Newport/Middletown area. They’re regularly available for appointments, never have to wait and they do an absolutely amazing job with my acrylics and gel pedicures every single time. I actually feel it’s worth spending the money to get my nails done at this place. I’ve been to many salons in downtown Newport and in Middletown and this one beats them all. The techs are all very experienced and go above and beyond. They give you massages while your nails dry, the give you cuticle oil and massage your hands and use a warm towel after. Other shops I’ve been to in the area charge the exact same price and simply do your nails and nothing extra to make me feel it’s worth the ever increasing price. I highly recommend this place.
Stylist: Tony is awesome and gets my nails and toes perfect every single time!

I went to this nail salon on July 9th, 2023. This review is way overdue, but I have to. This visit was by far the worst nail salon experience I have ever had.I was in the area for the military training and looking for a nail salon not too far from the base. This one was one of the closest that would take an appointment for 3, so I decided to give it a try. When we showed up to the salon, they did not seat us together at the same time. Things kept getting worse. The lady that I was assigned to grabbed a file that was clearly covered with white powder that appeared to be filed nails. She was slow, not skilled at all (not sure if she is trained/licensed to do it), and kept missing some spots. I politely asked her to go over the area that she missed as she kept doing the same thing. She did not even tried to contain her anger, cursed in her language, and at the end, a men took over her spot and working on my nails. At least, he was nice on the surface, but he aggressively filed my nails (yes, he filed the nails that the gel is already applied on) and ended up slicing my finger. Despite the visible blood, he just said "I am sorry," even did not try to sanitize or clean the wound, and kept going to kick me out of the salon asap. I was so fed up at this point, especially since my friends were already done and waiting for me. I did not want to make it a big deal and just stay silent. Looking back, I am not sure if it was an accident or intentional. Of course, I paid the full price.So long story short, I do not recommend this place for the sake of your safety. I recommend J nails & spa even if it is a bit far since we all had such a good time there for pedi in the following week.
