I had a trailer hitch installed here and everything was done as promised! JT is the hitch expert and he’s the man to see! Anytime I’ve needed boxes or moving equipment this is the place to go to. Rentals and returns are super easy and convenient here. Great knowledgeable staff!!

UHaul continues to disappoint. What they were UNABLE to do for us:
-deliver a Ubox on the day reserved
-inform us that they wouldn’t be delivering the Ubox on the day reserved
-deliver the Ubox the following day at the three times they promised it would be delivered by
-deliver the Ubox 2 days after the reservation by the time promised
-provide any confirmation that we moved our items out of the Ubox at the facility
-provide the vehicle we reserved at the time of reservation
-switch out the vehicle they gave us as a replacement with the original one reserved when the person behind us returned the one we were supposed to have - reason given was that someone else has that reserved an hour from now????
I’m done with you, UHaul. You need to either change up your systems or give your employees the ability to make things right for the customers they have in front of them. You seek customer feedback but do nothing with it.

The manager, Brian Caruso, was amazing. He actually went out of his way to call me and save me money on an extraneous piece that I’d ordered for a U-Haul receiver installation. Not many people in the world that honest and I appreciate that. Also, the installation was done in no time at all, so I had the rest of the day to use my car. Highly recommend!!! Thanks.

I made an appointment to get a trailer hitch installed around July 22nd. The rep I was on the phone with said they would need to order the hitch part for my truck model and that they could install it the next week. I confirmed the appointment and saw it in my U-Haul app.
I then waited a few days and the hitch installation appointment disappeared from my app schedule so I called them. A different rep told me they did not see the trailer hitch installation appointment in their system and the soonest they could order the part by was by the next Friday, the same day I am leaving the state.
I had to cancel my $770 trailer rental and didn't get the ~$350 installation service because they dropped the ball on the trailer hitch installation appointment. No idea what happened on their end, but I wasn't able to tow a lot of the furniture I needed to.

I use U-Hauls across the U.S.A for my business and without question my go to in RI is the U-Haul in Newport, RI. The staff is knowledgeable, friendly, and efficient. If there is ever a problem they are quick to respond and help. I can’t highly enough about their work and my experiences at Newport U-Haul.

Horrible and they over charged me and did not return my $30 for both trucks and I filled the gas tanks up. Very unprofessional staff and I believe we’re high on duty. Manager never returned my call!!

I’m 5’3” tall. The mirrors on the truck didn’t adjust enough to be useful. When I moved the seat forward far enough to reach the pedals, the seat got in the way of rolling down the window. Otherwise everything was just fine.
